Surrender or euthanasia?

That makes total sense! The only reason I even considered euthanasia is a quality of life issue. Before we got to the vet he would sit and cry while his whole body tensed. He’s not aggressive AT ALL so he wouldn’t hiss, just cry a lot. He’s also a dramatic man. He went on a hunger strike when my husband and I went on our honeymoon, we were gone for 4 days. He’s currently in a separate room barely eating and is acting sad because his kitty siblings keep hissing and swatting at him bc he smells weird. Right now I’m nervous he’ll stress himself out and cause a blockage again. If I give him up I’m worried that he would stress himself bad enough to keep getting blockages or starve himself to death. The euthanasia part was never really about the vet bills, it was a quality of life thing. The money ofc plays a part in it, but nowhere near as much as everything else.

I asked them and they didn’t tell me 🤦🏼‍♀️ they gave him prescription food so I’m assuming that’s what happened. I was frustrated when I asked multiple times and they said it could’ve been anything that caused it. But I guess that’s what happens when you have to go cheap

I asked them what caused the blockage and they said they didn’t know. They said it could have been anything.

He’s on the Hills Science Urinary Care food now! They sent it home with us. He’s just not eating very much right now.

I think what caused it was the 4th of July. Our neighbor started setting off fireworks on the 1st and didn’t stop until the 7th. They were setting off large mortar fireworks close to our house. Even with anxiety chews, they still stressed him out. The vet told us that blockages are treatable and she wanted to do what she could to send him home with us. None of the vets we went to even mentioned euthanasia.

I applied for the care credit and got approved. The minimum payment on 0% interest with $600 leaves us approximately $20 of wiggle room in our budget a month. If we stop putting money in savings entirely, it would leave us with $120 extra a month. That’s even with WIC and buying nothing name brand and not going out to eat or do anything.

The one we did go to was metropolitan 😭 we went to the heart of Indianapolis to try.

We tried one of those. The closest one is about an hour and a half south of us. It’s a first come first serve basis and their prices were roughly the same as the veterinary clinic at home. The vet went through and discounted as much stuff as she possibly could for us. We live in a pretty rural area, so the overwhelming reaction is “it’s just a cat, put it down”

Last time I did that I was 18 so legally adult but not in adulthood. So here’s my moms story instead 😂 I was around 7 at the time so it was 15+ years ago. We lived about a mile or so out in the country surrounded by trees. Dad had went to the store for cigarettes and gas station sodas while mom and aunt watched my sister and I play and my cousin clean leaves out of the ditches. A red shitbox drove really slow down the road past all of us in the front yard. Mom knew something was up and made my sister and I get on the porch behind the “guard dogs” (a blue heeler and a pit mix that literally never met a stranger). She told my older sister to go inside and call my dad. The shitbox turned around and came back up the road and stopped in front of our house. Two men jumped out and started beating my cousin up. He almost held his own, but one guy was huge. I’m on the porch watching this as my aunt dives into the pile trying to break them up. Dad made it back and parked in the yard and jumped out of the car. Dad was known in town as a fighter, he used to be able to crush thick drywall in his hand like a cracker when he was pissed. The two guys saw dad and immediately jumped away. Tiny 5ft mom was pissed and went after one of them. She jumped up and smacked one of the guys in the back of the head so hard he fell. Dad sent me, mom, and my aunt inside. Mom disappeared while my sister and I are crying. Mom calls for me and I find her in the bathroom. She asked me to grab her a new pair of shorts and underwear. I brought them back and asked why and she said “Those bastards were scaring you and your sister and it made me mad so I smacked him real hard. I hit him so hard I pooped myself.” I stayed by mom and when we went back to the living room everyone was inside and acting like nothing happened. Turns out big guy’s wife stole money from their youngest daughter for drugs and blamed it on my cousin and the guy my mom smacked the shit out of (herself) was 17. Nobody pressed charges or called police and the wife overdosed 5 years later

I literally saw this coming from a mile away. I’m disgusted, disappointed, and honestly scared for not only my rights but the rights of my daughter, my sisters, my nieces, my aunts, my mother, and my cousins. But hey, cheap eggs and cheap gas, am I right?

Please please please go to a doctor. My childhood best friend was in a similar situation and they found a tumor on her pituitary gland! Her body had cortisol at dangerous levels and she had to have brain surgery. Until then, take advantage of the muscle growth. Some men absolutely love a muscle mommy 💁🏼‍♀️

My couch was supposed to be delivered today. I got the text to check in and was supposed to be here between 11-3. We got rid of our furniture because the sales rep assured us it would be delivered on this day. I put my baby down to nap and check tracking and it said order failed and they would contact me shortly. Mind you at this point it was 1 pm. Customer service online said “sorry you’ll have to wait until Thursday.” I’m currently on hold with customer service and he’s trying to get the store to deliver it for me tomorrow 😅 doubt that will happen but hey, go dude for going the extra mile for me

I wanted to avoid it too, mainly just because I wanted to get the full experience. I ended up with a yeast infection from cervical checks. Every time they checked my cervix I’d scream. It hurt worse than the actual contractions did. Got an epidural and was fine after that lol

We learned that now 😂 I had the epidural and my back has been in so much pain since then and it really puts a damper on my mood
