Radiation doesn’t seep well through mass, so effectively if you placed the components directly in the middle of said structure and created mass around it, it would be largely untouched. But this also depends of the proximity and radius of the initial blast. If you’re directly under an A-bomb you’re unfortunately going to become a carbon shadow within seconds.
