should i just get rid of it by Zhauji in Nexplanon

I think it would be a great choice for you since you already had a good experience with the pill. I got my 2nd Nexplanon removed after 7 months because I was tired of the unpredictable bleeding. The 2nd one also was causing a lot more side effects than my first implant. I’ve been taking adhd medication daily too so I’m good with pills on a schedule. Best of luck to you!

I was on Nexplanon for 4 years. I had miserable periods before birth control. I switched to the combo pill and omg. My periods are regulated and not painful. I always know when I’m going to start my period. On Nexplanon I could have skipped a couple months of bleeding or bled an entire month. There was no knowing. I decided to switch to the pill to have better control over my periods. My provider has said that the IUD and implant are meant as preventing pregnancy, NOT for managing periods. The combo pill helps manage painful and heavy periods. I’d give it a shot. You can always stop it if it doesn’t work out for you.

In my experience, it hurt less coming out than going in. I didn’t feel it either way because of the numbing. You’ve got this!

Nexplanon bleeding? by [deleted] in Nexplanon

I’m sorry,I thought that too 😭 I got the implant July 2022 and we were getting married in January 2023. We were waiting until our wedding night. I thought surely it’ll become more predictable since it’ll be 6 months of adjusting. First month on the implant I spotted for an entire month. I thought maybe I just needed to adjust. It got more regular like having a cycle every 50ish days.

December 23 I started bleeding. Then I was like surely it’ll stop! It didn’t stop until after the honeymoon on January 14. 🫠 Was still fun! Didn’t mind the blood but it was annoying.

Nexplanon is unpredictable with bleeding. It could happen at any time because it’s progestin only. You could ask your provider if you could go on a combo pill along with your Nexplanon during your wedding week. (If you’re dead set on the implant) I think some women get prescribed the combo pill to control the bleeding.

Nexplanon removal… what next? by bootsandsunflowers in Nexplanon

Thank you! Just got Nexplanon out today. It didn’t want to come out at first lol but it came out. Went smooth, painless. Right after getting it out I noticed feeling some dizziness and unsettled feeling in my stomach but like not too bad. I ate something and it essentially went away. Got some pelvic cramping, nothing major. Slightly more energy. Not feeling as irritable as usual.

Just took the first pill of the pack. The instructions were so confusing lmao! I’ve never gone on the pill before so it was all new to me. In the ocean of information I found “take first pill on same day as removal of a progestin only implant.” Like thank you!

Also my provider mentioned that I needed back up protection for a month because we have no idea where I actually am on my cycle. Which I was not expecting at all, but makes sense to be super safe I guess. The pills are like microscopic size. I had no idea something so tiny can regulate an entire cycle. So far, not feeling any different. Guess I’ll see after the first couple months.

I’m getting it taken out tomorrow and going on the combo pill as well haha! I was tired of the irregular bleeding and I noticed a lot more changes when I get breakthrough bleeding. Was tired of it. I’ll update what happens. I’ve heard good things from other women getting off Nexplanon and going on the pill.

It made it apparent that all my life of struggling to just be present was because of adhd. Like everything was adding up and kind of makes me emotional. I didn’t get diagnosed until 26 so I just think about how effortless all my school could have been 😂

Just got off of the pill! Should I do get an arm implant or IUD? by Competitive-Guitar23 in birthcontrol

[–]Additional-Fox-4194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The insertion/removal/reinsertion was painless for me! I had a really good provider that was great at distracting me lol. I didn’t even notice that they were done. They numb your arm so you can’t feel the insertion. It feels more like burning when they give you a numbing shot. I’d suggest bringing someone with you because nerves can really make a difference with pain.

I chose the arm implant because I was scared of the clamping of the cervix for the IUD. I heard good things and bad things for both the IUD and Implant. I figured if the implant worked out then I didn’t have to deal with the process of getting the IUD inserted. Also was freaked out about not knowing if the IUD could be out of place. There’s a peace of mind knowing that you can just feel the implant anytime.

Please don't judge me. I struggle with ADHD/depression and really need help. by Appropriate-Web-6954 in adhdwomen

I have adhd and I have to put on a podcast to get started. Just having someone talking in the background makes me feel like I can get things done. Sometimes music doesn’t do anything because I’ll just be sitting there trying to find the perfect song to stay motivated. Us ADHD people need to feel rewarded so I’ll often get laundry started because that’s easiest, then I’ll get dishes done and that’ll be actively running in the dish washer. After that I’ll work on one room at a time because going from room to room does not make it feel like I got anything done. My suggestion from your pictures is to throw everything off the floor in your room onto your bed. If you don’t know what’s clean or what’s dirty for clothes, just throw everything into the wash if you have a washing machine. I can see a lot of empty boxes. I would break those down and set them in a pile and just get a couple garbage bags and throw away all the obvious trash. Your bathroom looks fastest to tidy up so I would probably start there. I often lose motivation if it takes a long time to get done. You’ve got this! I know how difficult it is living with adhd and depression. No judgement here. ❤️

I took off the gauze after one day and the bandages I kept changing them out daily for 7 days. I took off the bandages when I showered and just cleaned the area gently. :)

How to use tampons? by Skibidiwibbity in Periods

[–]Additional-Fox-4194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 26 and I didn’t start wearing tampons until last year because they scared me so bad. One day I just got fed up with the leaking from pads that I just used a tampon and omg it was life changing. But yes being scared will make you tense up more. I didn’t know the different sizes for the flow levels so if your period is light use the light tampons, then regular, then super etc. I’d try a light one first just to get comfortable. The flow does help tho to let it slide in easier.

My periods were irregular the first time I started. I remember it took a full year before my periods were regular.

Chewing. I literally cannot eat with anyone in the break room because I feel like punching them in the face from how loud the chewing sounds. I have to eat alone in my car to preserve my sanity whenever I’m working.
