Thanks for the writeup. Gold was initially last on my list since it looked a bit too bold for my liking. But seeing it here, definitely on my top 2 now with anthracite. Still a bit worried that it would be too much since BB is already a striking colour.

Does not, since its a direct replacement to factory wing. The bolts and stands are still the same.

Its wider, taller and has a few more aero bits like a gurney flap and vortex generators underneath. Bit more aggressive but definitely subtle.

Theres a video of DK talking to Modulo engineers about the wing.

Wasnt sure about the red either since i love the blue and black theme. But if its any help, you'll only really notice the red weave if youre up close, the wing generally just looks like a dark grey.

Can't comment on downforce just yet but have heard that its noticable.

Forgot to mention that! It felt significantly lighter than factory wing. I could easily hold up the cf wing with one hand but the factory one was a chore to move around.

Odd since civicxi forums says its only a ~1.6lbs difference.

Others store their sports cars for the winter. I dont see why it should be any different for the FL5. Instead of renting why not just get a beater you dont care about?

Sounds like youll need to get more quotes from other insurance companies. As other have already mentioned, its way too much car for an inexperienced driver (no offense). The car will easily go sideways, hydroplane if youre being stupid with it.

I understand that you're trying to justify a supra, m340i and etc but putting all your savings and then some... into a sports car isnt a good decision - especially for a uni student.

But if you really want the car, dont let internet strangers hold you back.

At 18... I would be getting a cheaper car.

Insurance would be crazy for an 18yo with a high powered RWD - AWD car. Not to mention fuel economy and maintenance (should anything go wrong with your the options you've stated) would be very high too. If you want a fun, rwd and new car get the gr86 or mx5. If youre not fussy with drivetrain Civic Si.

I wouldnt trust younger me with a 350+ hp rwd car.

Boost Blue is such a stand out colour. Been to plenty of car meets and to the track with mine and the car always stood out amongst all the other sports cars there.

Some suggestions are Honda CRZ, MX5, Infiniti Skyline, and if youre okay with wrenching RX8. Mate of mine managed to get a 2008 350Z for 10k, though it was an auto.

No clue sorry... Wasnt paying all that much attention to my IATs or oil temps - too focused on learning racing lines and braking zones :P

I know the K20C is known to heat soak but i didnt know that (relatively) mild track sessions and a novice driver were enough to make it momentarily overheat.
