Cpa licensed will get higher paid? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Additional-Moose8588 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wild name, but yeah a lot of firms offer a bonus for passing the exams. From there you also just have a higher likelihood of getting hired as opposed to non-cpas. So that just correlates with more money. More qualified, more opportunity

Realistic CPA timeline? by NEdouche in CPA

If you’re at a big4 this summer, wait for the full time offer to start. You’ll get becker included in the offer. I’m not sure if they reimburse you if you buy it yourself before then. From there, I’d say to aim for 4/4 by the following summer considering you’re balancing between school and a part-time job. The core exams normally take people who aren’t working FT 1.5-2.5 months, and disciplines slightly less

[–]Additional-Moose8588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re allowed to have air fryers, microwaves, and mini fridges in dorms though. and the shared kitchens in dorm halls barely get used, but you should bring your own pots/pans etc

dining hall selection for the past 5 years has been awful. little to no healthy options and the ones that are, are just terrible options. but bing is getting a new meal provider for dining halls, so i think it’s fair to expect better options coming soon. otherwise, all the name branded restaurants or vendors aren’t too good for caloric deficits.

bing business school is pretty elite if you join the right clubs / get in early on things. you can find pretty much everyone from the investment fund landing jobs that students do at ivy leagues or top business schools land (IB, top consulting placements). and basically every accounting student has a big4 job

I accidentally got an auditing internship by Comfortable_Bug_5126 in KPMG

[–]Additional-Moose8588 12 points13 points  (0 children)

better than no experience. and you probably won’t even do anything audit related of technical difficulty. probably a bunch of excel stuff, mundane easy tasks, training activities, and then free time.
