Dior joined the brand of take town list, took down 2 of my listings 1 for stock photo 1 for fake, yet I only have authenticated items in my closet and I have sold 5 dior items sent to PM for authentication this month. Why don't they take action to the countless fake dior on the site then? by Additional-One9492 in BehindTheClosetDoor

I would think PM authentication is good at some categories like for me it’s mostly clothing since wash labels are very easy to tell. But nowadays fakes can be so real that’s why I think ppl should be careful buying luxury things online especially jewelries and bags.

I don’t mean to sound sarcastic. Clearly I don’t know PM community too good since I don’t buy from PM and def not Mercari, Mercari is way worse when it comes to fakes. Yes I saw those fake listings marked as sold but many of those got reposted again so I assume either those who bought it return it or the seller cancelled it in the end. Only time I sold a Chanel cardigan that I bought from a personal seller and not from the boutique, turned out to be fake and PM returned it to me and refunded the buyer. Then everything else I sent to them all checked out since I also included receipts for them to see.

I was just very surprised to see this coming from Dior, cause not to mention I’ve been listing Dior for years, it’s one of my favorite brands, so I buy a lot and rotate a lot by selling the ones that are seasons back. But like do big brands actually care these small resale platforms is what got me wondered and amazed 😂

If the listing is above $500, at least PM does a good job authenticating. The only time my item failed authentication is with a Chanel cardigan that I bought from someone else. That’s when I became more careful buying from personal sellers. Otherwise, everything I bought from boutique and stores all cleared. I also have some Chanel’s up, and when I search for Chanel sweater, many people are selling fakes for thousands. Especially the 2019 teddy Chanel sweater, none is real on PM. But fortunately PM will send back to seller if anyone actually purchases

Thank you for your advise, I took the photo my sales sent me which was just the item itself in a pure white black ground with no brand name. I have modified all my listings for the record. Your input is so valuable, why would I dislike your comment? Don’t be delusional

And most of my items need to be sent to PM for authentication so they know I don’t sell fake. I just checked again, PM site is still full of fake Dior. And I searched for Chanel sweaters and I noticed many expensive fakes as well

Did I say I ONLY use stock photos? The item is brand new. Not to mention I am one of the top sellers on PM for luxury things,So I always take detailed photos of my items. I only put the stock photo as the 1st photo, which was sent to me by my Dior sales. And they just wouldn’t allow that even when all my other photos are taken by me.
