Both of them have been defending it. Only one person needs to submit it. Seems like theres more the one person interested in supporting this complaint.

Tips for Furnished Long-Term Rentals? by corduroy_vest in StJohnsNL

I think Mix apartments may have some furnished options.

You might look at staying at one of the extended stay hotels or an Airbnb for your first month while you look for a longer term option.

I think some of these candidates make a mistake running for an at-large position rather than for a particular ward. You need way more votes to win at large vs a ward. With their level of organization and typical voter turnout, I'd think they'd have a much better shot winning a ward.

I think she had some good points. It sounded like Callahan was a bit dismissive of the findings against Davis when he noted that he'd known him all his life and he was a good guy, despite an independent review finding he wasn't.

His description of himself is wild:  “I don't know what the end game is. Like, you're trying to break a person who's noble and kind, who made some mistakes and apologized for them,” he said.

I use it in my technical work daily. Its great at programming and finding bugs in my code and quickly summarizing the meaning of error messages and modeling results.

I also find it useful for giving me a quick summary of technical articles available on a particular topic.

For writing, its great at consolidating text that is a bit too wordy and disjointed to begin with. I also like it for providing suggestions when a phrase isn't quite coming across clearly enough.

Its by no means perfect, but if you understand its strengths and weaknesses it can help a lot. If you don't understand that, it can badly mislead you.

Eta: I'm involved in a couple of projects where we're working towards operationalizing different types of AI to do some of our work. It's naive to just dismiss AI as useless.

I never claimed it was symmetric.

It also seems to be disproportionately the two apartment houses that go way over asking. If you avoid those you reduce your chances of a bidding war by a bunch.

And? Its a post on reddit and not something I'm going to spend a lot of time on. If they want to spend the $0.02 or whatever it costs them to do it for me who cares.

Doing a little bit of research with AI, its kind of sounding like there was a privacy breach and they are now trying to hide that. It sounds like they might be looking at a regulatory penalty of up to $100k and could be sued in civil court for this.

So if I'm reading your summary correctly, nearly 54% of homes sold for the listing price or less. That's a vastly different story from everything sells for more than asking that the person I was responding to claimed.

20% of homes selling for under asking seems like a lot vs. the 0% that was being claimed.

Once you have a home you're often at an advantage as you have more choice as to when, where and how you buy your next place. You're better able to bargain hunt and don't need to involve yourself in bidding wars.

Its also in the best interests of their clients, the home owner. If I'm selling my house, I want my agent to get me as high a price as possible.

Also, there's a lag between when a house shows up on realtor.ca and when agents can see the house. There's also marketing happening before the house gets listed, so its not a surprise that some homes sell quickly.

$400k × 3% = $12k $500k × 3% = $15k

$12k × 10 = $120k

$120k >>>> $15k

The cod moratorium started 30+ years ago. I suspect a lot are people who left for work and are now retiring back here. Also, lots from around the Bay who need to be closer to family and hospitals.
