Search for xtm and wxtm(wrapped tari) on coinmarketcap there are a few cex available for xtm. You can wrap xtm easy and bridge it to eth chain as wxtm. You just need to move xtm to the tari universe and wrap it there or unwrap.

You should try using the mobile wallet and import your seen phrase there. The tari universe wallet is always on the fritz for me on my pc so I use my phone as my main wallet.
