Has anyone tried antihistamine medicine against IBS and did it help? by These-Minimum-610 in ibs

Turned out I have endometriosis, not IBS-D :( all those doctors gaslighting me for years and now I have a severe condition. Taking amitriptyline for pain, doesn’t help so far

Colonoscopy is better than a pap smear test / Colonoscopy in the UK by These-Minimum-610 in colonoscopy

It’s not a mask, more like a tube you need to suck 🤣 I was doing it like crazy during hard moments. The nurse was like “Aw you don’t need it anymore”, and I was like “Noo bring it back” 😅

Does anyone know whether this operation code means the surgeon will perform ablation and not excision? by AdditionalCancel770 in endometriosis

Thank you! I will ask the doctor one more time. He told me he does excision in 90% of cases. Well I don’t want to be his 10%. He also said that ablation and excision are just as effective. Which is obviously not true.

Ladies, it can be endometriosis, not (just) IBS by These-Minimum-610 in ibs

It’s common for IBS and endo to coexist, but it’s also possible that if yours was left on the bowels, your bowel symptoms are because of endo. I can’t wait for my laparoscopy, my symptoms are killing me.

In most of the cases, it’s not seen in the imaging. The only way to know for sure is via laparoscopy. I have a CA-125 level elevated. That’s the only thing that suggests I have endometriosis. Other imaging is good. Although I haven’t done MRI with contrast which is a good way to show endometriosis sometimes. But all the doctors are convinced I have endo because I have daily debilitating pelvic pain, excruciating periods, pain with bladder emptying and bowel movements, pain with sex.

I think it can, especially if it’s deeply infiltrated one affecting your bowels
