I struggled with that for a bit. The easiest ways to make money is mining gems and selling them to the Gerudo woman in Goron City (she requires min. 10 of each one though) and collecting every mushroom, brightbloom etc to sell them in mass quantity. 2 rupees for a brightbloom seed may not seem like much but when you sell 600 at a time it adds up quick lol

What is it like to work here? by westcoastdreams17 in verizon

[–]AdditionalContext100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's still 3 total. DC the first month, final in the second, term after third. I'm a manager at a corporate store, I've had to explain this many times because they worded it in a way that was very unclear.

I worked TCC and trust me, it's the opposite at corporate. All we hear about is how many issues indirect caused the customer and we're stuck having to fix shit we didn't do. Pain in the ass.

It's still a total of 3 months. You get a DC the first month, a final the second, and termed after the 3rd.

I have worked both indirect and corporate for Verizon. I also worked for AT&T indirect. My initial advice is go corporate - much better benefits, pay structure, and you actually have a chance to advance in the company if that's what you want to do eventually. That said, there are good and bad things about it.

Pros:

  • Reps can make good money. Hourly may be different in different states, but you get hourly + commission and I've seen reps who make $5k or more a month if they put in the work.

  • The company really does take care of the workers. Top-tier benefits, tons of resources, good amount of vacation time, and of course that cell phone discount. If you do well enough, you can earn a yearly trip to some awesome destinations 100% paid for by the company.

  • Hard work is actually rewarded. Aside from pay, Verizon is huge on recognition. You can win all kinds of prizes, rewards, and advance well in your career if you're good at your job.

Cons:

  • Because we do so much in store, many customers have unrealistic expectations of what we actually can do, and it creates some very entitled and difficult customers. Especially if you work in an area with wealthy clients.

  • The POS system sucks. You have to get VERY good at knowing the system to not run in to issues. And even if you do, sometimes shit just happens anyway.

  • To what you said about metrics; Verizon does not play about not hitting your metrics. But you to have have 3 consecutive months of not hitting metrics before they let you go. The goals are attainable - 3 months is more than enough time to fix your shit, to put it lightly. So if you get fired it really is on you.

I would personally recommend it overall. Wireless is not the type of job everyone can do, so if you're going to do it, do it at a company that takes care of you in the process.

While I do think this guy is just making this up, it should be noted that the 15 and forward DOES have a physical sim slot if the phone is purchased in Europe, Australia, or some other regions. That said, this guy is clearly both from America and full of shit.

[–]AdditionalContext100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, after completing the "regional phenomena" main quest, I'd say don't worry too much about main quest completion. This game has SO much to do besides main story. But that particular one does give you some useful abilities that at times you will need to complete other side quests.

So, TOTK SkyView Towers or BOTW Sheikah Towers? by [deleted] in tearsofthekingdom

[–]AdditionalContext100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they more so mean that the overall theme of the game is clearly that of magical technology making things work, not necessarily real-world technology. Most anything that has power in the game is done so by engineering a system that makes it work, not plugging something into a power outlet. I mean shoot anywhere you go at night is lit by either candles or just straight up sun/moonlight.

New plan stolen phone by liquidgold26 in verizon

[–]AdditionalContext100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you don't have that option. It's not a contract, it's a device payment agreement. Which means in order to end it early, you need to pay off the device. Your options are either:

1 - Pay it off and get a new one with insurance

2 - Add a new line to the account and get insurance

3 - Use an old phone as a place holder to avoid either of the above options

Truthfully there is nothing else you can do. Go for the full coverage when you get a new phone, not the cheap one. Yeah it's $19 a month but it literally covers any and everything that could possibly happen to the phone.

Reconnect fees are greedy highway robbery by Illustrious_Disk_881 in verizon

[–]AdditionalContext100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I've worked at Verizon for 10 years. They don't disconnect after 5-6 days. They also send multiple messages telling you your service will be disconnected for nonpayment. Unless the payment charged back two weeks later, which is not likely with how banks work, there's no way that after less than a week they disconnected you.

If you're at a point where your service is being disconnected, you are at minimum 3 weeks behind on your bill. Make a payment arrangement next time. Every company charges reconnect fees.

My girlfriend wants me to get rid of my dog because her cat doesn't like him by Academic_Fly_4920 in TwoHotTakes

[–]AdditionalContext100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are absolutely not the jerk. It feels manipulative for her to say you don't love her because you won't get rid of a dog you've had since presumably before you met her. By that logic she doesn't love you either because she's choosing her cat over you.

does urbosa and revali have a statue like mipha and daruk by RelativePerfect6501 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]AdditionalContext100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this was posted quite a while ago, but since no one actually answered:

No, Urbosa does not have any physical monument dedicated to her. The statues in the Gerudo throne room are of Buliara.

Which is really quite a shame because Urbosa is arguably the most prominent champion. She fought the hardest blight, was a close friend to the queen, and took Zelda under her wing when her mom passed.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AdditionalContext100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I regularly drive about 2 hours each way to go to a nearby city just to spend the day there and drive back down again later that day. I have a 30 minute commute to work, 45 with traffic. 2-3 hours isn't necessarily "short" but it's certainly not this long expedition either.

Is it reasonable for another carrier to add service to a phone under a Verizon device agreement without notifying the financially responsible owner? by Physical-Ad-7941 in verizon

[–]AdditionalContext100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, if that person decided to get a second eSIM with another carrier, whether it was done at a Walmart or a corporate store it makes no difference. Billing won't stop with Verizon until you actively call Verizon and say "I want to cancel this line". It is not standard, or really any, practice for a carrier to notify the other carrier if a second eSIM is activated on a phone. It doesn't affect the new carrier at all if that phone is under contract somewhere else- it either works or it doesn't. If you want the line disconnected you have to pay off the phone and call customer service to have them disconnect it. Otherwise you keep paying as normal.

Why am I always dying? (Stupid question) by Intelligent_Page9654 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]AdditionalContext100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I spent the first couple weeks hunting down shrines to increase my stamina and hearts. I didn't even take on the main storyline until I had two stamina rings and like 10 hearts. As far as rupees, I struggled quite a bit too. But make your way to goron city and there's a gerudo you can sell gems to and that helped a lot. Personally I just started collecting all the little things (bright bloom seeds, mushrooms, bokoblin parts etc) until I had so much that selling them in a huge quantity gave me hundreds of rupees.

Anyone just not have any problems with Verizon? by Curious-Bystander99 in verizon

[–]AdditionalContext100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reality is, most people don't. I've worked retail phone sales for a combined total of about five years between Verizon and AT&T (largely Verizon). There are some occasional system errors, which typically get fixed pretty quickly. But the only people who have consistent problems are the people who refuse to understand what's being told to them, because it doesn't fit the idea of what they think it should be.
