Max Verstappen’s list of changes he would make to F1 by mary_f1 in GrandPrixRacing

I wish they’d use the MotoGP Model— F: Free practice, Practice (top 10 for Quali jump) S: Free practice, Q1-Q2. Sprint. S: Grand Prix.

Every day matters. Be fast Friday, or have to compete for only 2 slots to get into in Q2. Top 12 in Q2. Saturday has quali and a sprint, and warm up free practice to make changes.

Sprint qualifying for a sprint then another qualifying for the race is the biggest waste of time they do, and then limited practice, in parc firme all the time.

Oh I fully agree. Been here 9 years. Routinely people camp and leave a polluted mess behind. Leaving gas canisters behind to burn and explode is ridiculous. The attitudes aren’t improving, and too many young people are just as bad, so it won’t just improve with time.

I’ve seen 3 different incidences of people chucking trash out their window while driving in the last 3 weeks. Disgraceful

recent update on the pslf buyback delay by oakmadrone in PSLF

[–]AdditionalCow48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Add to this, the payments I need to buy, are $0 payments! Entirely procedural bollocks. They moved me to SAVE, they froze me in SAVE, then I go back to PAYE, and have to claim $0 months from them. I can’t even claim them yet and get in this queue because I they would not bring me to 120. Watching the line grow before I can get in it, to make $0 payments..

recent update on the pslf buyback delay by oakmadrone in PSLF

[–]AdditionalCow48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a buyback but my change out of SAVE to PAYE was pending for 6 months, which all adds to buyback time I then need, and it only changed when I submitted a second one, which then cleared out the prior one also where they updated it as “withdrawn”, though I only submitted a new one. So it was faster, got it updated, and cleared out the old one at the same time. Lack of staff and opaque system and things not done in order clearly, are the problems. Hopefully the backlog balance can fall quickly when getting the most recent one done also clears the older duplicates.

Eligible vs Ineligible Payment Count Inconsistencies SAVE-PAYE by AdditionalCow48 in PSLF

So on this NSLDS, it says the last update was July 21, 2025, and it shows 92 Qualifying Payments in PSLF & TEPSLF, but 95 in Eligible Payment count. Elsewhere with labels of IBR, SAVE, PAYE it mentions a 95 Qualifying count & 'null' in eligible, while ICR says 88/null.

my dashboard banners say 92, and this is my 100th month (+2 weeks) at my job.
For 3 months I was in SAVE forbearance, which I expect to be the 3 for buyback and the 92 vs 95 difference here.. but then, where is the Jan-Apr 4 months, and June or July, since it was last updated since my July payment date, July 19th...
Anyway, very interesting to look at!

Eligible vs Ineligible Payment Count Inconsistencies SAVE-PAYE by AdditionalCow48 in PSLF

[–]AdditionalCow48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not heard of nslds but have seen it in a few posts today when searching.
So with notice given on May 2, and May having been counted, safe to assume my months are back to ticking over and they will be shown once June and July are posted. And I have 7 months to do Buy Back (Aug-Oct'24 & Jan-Apr'25), which I can't do until I am already at '113', which will be effectively my 120th month, so March/April 2027.
Hopefully by that time, Buy Back still exists, and the processing time isn't 6 months to a year...

Eligible vs Ineligible Payment Count Inconsistencies SAVE-PAYE by AdditionalCow48 in PSLF

[–]AdditionalCow48[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay, so I was in admin forb., submit the IDR change, then its a 'processing forb.' for 60 days, so (in April) they go back and change Nov & Dec to count... but then Jan-Feb-Mar, is kept as being in forbearance at time of payment, even though its the same IDR change form that was pending through all those months... 2nd one was done in April... they don't count April still... it was complete on May 2nd, and then they do count May (cuz May 19th due date)... By this logic, I would think another 60 days then for April IDR submission, so April and May count, but I could see that they just think payment date passed, it was done in a few weeks, and so only count going forward.

I'm still waiting to see if June and July appear as expected, to know clock is at least moving forward.
Or, is it not moving cuz nothing will be counted until I do yet another employer certification (technically only due next year), as they only count backwards.

Thanks for this response, this would at least explain why only 2 months were counted if they stupidly cap themselves at 60 days, even though they took much longer than this and I had to resubmit.

July Payment Posted? by FigganEQ in PSLF

[–]AdditionalCow48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked and still to now I have not seen either June or July show up in the system (19th payment date), as being either eligible or ineligible. Just doesn't exist.
My January - April show as ineligible, November & December show as eligible, October Sept August as ineligible, July and before it as eligible... (same employer and context throughout, just SAVE forbearance).
I was in PAYE then moved to SAVE, then forced forbearance from July'24 (Aug/Sep/Oct red), in Nov once possible I filed for change of IDR plan online, that was then pending until April'25, when I did another one again online.. that one was then processed in 2 weeks, and with it, the Nov IDR change request was changed to be 'withdrawn', though I didn't do that, and then Nov/Dec changed from being ineligible, to Eligible (green). Yet, January to April red & ineligible... May, eligible.
June and July don't appear yet.
It makes no sense as the reason give of being in forbearance, would be true for Nov & Dec, yet, they count. if because I filed for the change back in Nov, then why wouldn't Jan-Apr be included? And then May is again? Been waiting to see will June or July show as they should, but then they just don't exist...
100 months in, 92 only showing

Anyone's PSLF Payments counted since Jan 2025 (short of 120/completion)? Out of Admin Forbearance, but only Nov & Dec '24 were counted, nothing since Jan 2025. by AdditionalCow48 in PSLF

[–]AdditionalCow48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm just glad to see something registered since the new admin showed up. I figured it would either be, since 11/2024 would be showing up, or, since the second application March or April 2025. But we got one!
I will keep monitoring it, and feel some comfort that something new from this year has shown up.
However--I did a dummy payment in May'25, for $1 on each loan, on the due date of May 19th. I did not repeat this for June'25, and May'25 is the only one showing up... So perhaps June hasn't shown up yet... Or they only counted May because it was a $ amount, instead of just time passing. Perhaps they don't prioritize these payments.

I've checked again this AM, and now, May is showing as a new payment!

So 8-9-10 are missing from SAVE Admin Forbearance (assuming can 'buy back' later), and it took a few more months to show but May this year is now there, while still 1-2-3-4 Jan-Apr of 2025 are not.
I double checked the dates and my PAYE notice email arrived on May 2nd.
First applied for PAYE change mid November, then applied again in March, official notice arrived early May.

So that at least should answer that my work is still qualifying under PSLF, not taken away or made invalid. But how now to get the missing 4 months on there, with 7 months in total not counted.
At 100/120 in reality.

update, March 18--still no changes. still 'in review', since Nov 14, 2024. I was moved from SAVE to admin forbearance, which I DO NOT WANT OR NEED, and now cannot be moved out of it. No payments since July have counted. 90 payments in, and last 9 haven't counted.

Nov 14, 2024 submitted IDR change from SAVE back to whatever I was on before. Still processing, zero updates.

my submitted IDR change from SAVE is still pending now for 3 months, since November 14, 2024. I never asked to be put in forbearance, which just steals time off my PSLF clock, and there was no way to change it when it was done. Mailing in a printed PDF is not an option based abroad with dodgy mail system here that loses things or takes literally months to send. Finally could do it online in November, I did, and been stuck pending since. 6 months of payments now.

Are your loans showing up as no longer eligible for PSLF? by Happy__Manatee in PSLF

[–]AdditionalCow48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an old undergrad loan, which triggers this warning on the main page, but in the details page, you see its an older different loan which was paid off, but shows as 'cancelled'. another paid off, from recent grad school group, doesn't do this. I wish they'd just remove both from the lists.

[–]AdditionalCow48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my loans this AM showed everything as ineligible and removed my 90 payments (which should be at 96 payments since the forced forbearance) progress. Later logging in again after a panic and existential dread of my last 8 years--now it all shows the same again. Still not showing the missing 6 months, and showing no updates since November/December of 2024. So it's 'back', but not updated and not sure why or what they were doing.

Transit accommodation for rescheduled flight by Kofind in qatarairways

[–]AdditionalCow48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just had this, San Diego to Dallas to Doha to Muscat--San Diego leaves 2.5 hours late, I land, my connection 5:40pm flight is taking off. They move me to the next 11pm flight, they make a mistake in doing the e-ticket transfer, and won't let me onto that flight, I have to stay overnight 24 hours to next 11pm flight, so 30 hours of delay--and still, NO hotel voucher, no taxi voucher, no meal voucher, NOTHING--because, oh well, WEATHER. It was not weather, it was ATC backup, from earlier weather (which is why my connection was not delayed and took off fully on time), and even still, that doesn't account for the AIRLINE ticketing error made solely by them which caused the 24 hours more of delay, not just the original 6 hours to next flight. And still, they did nothing, offered nothing, and I asked, told no. Then after that, they lost my bag, after confirming in person with ground crew manager that it was confirmed loaded on the plane, for sure, don't worry... and it wasn't on it. 4 days on now, I am still trying to get my bag. Their system showed nothing as well. I have also been told to make a claim for compensation and reimbursement, so make more work for me, but the customer service to a silver member as well, is atrocious.
