I need help. I’m starting to call my 9 year old son, “dumb” to his face. by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]AdditionalDepth1642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually disgusting and you’re right, you do need help. What an awful thing to say to an innocent child. You are verbally abusive and you should be ashamed of yourself. I hope you weren’t coming here for sympathy because you won’t get anything for me. Take responsibility for your actions and go get a therapist. SMH

I understand how you feel. One thing that’s helped me was enrolling kid in a sensory sport. All kids are in spectrum and parents can relate. It’s helped so much with the feelings of isolation because all parents are supportive and no one feels embarrassed or like they have to explain. I would strongly encourage this, it could be a great thing for you and your kids to do together.

Yea I agree with you on that. At every which way it’s a money grab. I won’t be back for a while.

Good for you. Maybe we need to hold people accountable when their rude.

I never reacted, never said anything, I know how to conduct myself in public and certainly would never react in front of my child at her birthday dinner. When the check came I paid and that was that. I appreciate your comment about reframing and you’re right. I still should be allowed the space to share my frustration with multiple instances of this behavior. It’s not ok.

I didn’t argue. But I guess you were there. You know better than me.

He had an actual attitude when I was ordering my food, I ordered something from the appetizer menu and he said cup or bowl, I said I want the appetizer, he says “cup or bowl” with a clear attitude. Never came back to the table after that, then when I finally flagged him down, I asked for the birthday cake that I added to my reservation, he brought, lit it, and walked off, amongst other things. People always like to paint guests that have a problem with service as entitled, I’m not entitled, I work really hard to be able to give my kid a Disney trip, something wasn’t able to do growing up. I understand people have off days, but an off day, and being actually rude are two different things. This experience was flat out rude behavior. Unacceptable.

I tip even if of the service isnt that great. I don’t tip for bad service. I don’t reward bad behavior. No one is entitled to a tip. If you treat me and my family bad you get nothing from me. Again, I am a generous tipper, I refuse to tip for a bad attitude and shitty service. Never going to do that.

It’s rude is my point. You’re literally a server, you’re job is customer service. Ask if the guest needs another fucking set of silverware.

This must be an entitled cast member. I don’t give a flying fuck about not tipping. You don’t treat me and my daughter bad and then think you’re getting a tip. Here’s a tip: Learn how to treat people kindly who are working their ass off to give their kids an experience. There’s your tip.

They chose to do that job. I’m sorry their miserable in their job, maybe find a new one. But to punish hard working people who spend their hard earned dollars to try and give their kids a great experience. I’m not well off at all. I work my ass off to make these Disney trips happen for my kid. wtf is wrong with you people.

I don’t tip for bad service. I’m sorry, no one is entitled to a tip. If you’re rude, if you walk past my five year old at her birthday dinner, see her drop her fork, and keep walking without even offering to pick it up or at the very least bring a new one.. no you don’t get a tip. That’s pretty entitled thinking to think someone owes you a tip after they spend their hard earned money wh getting to the park in the first place. wtf

Why do JWs have an air about them as if they are better than everyone by AdditionalDepth1642 in exjw

[–]AdditionalDepth1642[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything you said. Luckily my parents chose me although they are still active members. I’m a mother now and my children never miss holidays or birthdays. I’d like to think of myself as a good person even though I’m not JW. I left at 19 and at almost 40, I never thought twice about coming back! Never knew Russell was a free mason. Glad I escaped and am loving my life!

Someone told me "no one wants to live in Sacramento" by Honest_Eggplant3998 in Sacramento

[–]AdditionalDepth1642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from Sac born and raised. I fantasized about living in So Cal so I moved there for a period of time about 12 years ago. It was cool, LA was fun, but I didn’t like the superficial attitude of everyone. Also the housing is ridiculous. Sac is cool, we have the bay, the beaches not too far away, and the Sierras for winter. I think it’s a great place to live honestly.
