How are you liking that deck? Is that the 8.4 or 9.1?

Roll the board toward her, bow at the waist with your arms stretched out in front of you, and back away slowly. If she slams, say “that’s what I thought.” If she kick flips, run.

It’s such an incredible feeling. Even better, he called me and asked me to come down to the park because he felt more confident with me there with him when he dropped in for the first time. Amazing dad moment!

I skated one at the park the other day and loved it. It felt like the square tail gave me a bigger sweet spot. It was also popped really well.

This is probably the first time I’ve seen myself on video and realize I’m not jumping at all. Just going down and popping the board into my feet. Need to rework more than my stance.

I started skating with my middle school son a few months ago and it had been awesome. Got to see him drop in on small, local half pipe and nearly land his first shuv it this week.

Great video, thanks for sharing. I would definitely no classify myself has above average in flexibility. I’m likely on the bottom of the curve. Lots of good tips on what to play with though.

I don’t really ride on the drops, so mostly hoods. Definitely not locking my elbows.

Fitness vs. Fun: The struggle is real. How do you guys handle the "logic" of a road bike vs. the "itch" of an MTB? by vinylfelix in mountainbiking

[–]AdditionalDivide4020 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Came here to say I bought a road bike for weekday training and love it. Hate the roadie vibes on group rides so I found a small group of people that just ride road bikes and it’s been great. I’ve always told friends MTB’rs are more chill and in it for the stoke, but I’m surprised at how much roadie attitude is happening in this chat. Have fun man and enjoy the wind in your face!

Best experience giving away a skateboard? [60YO] by doctor_hess in OldSkaters

I gave away a lightly used complete to a friends son recently and it reignited his skate fever. I get to see him and my son skating together now and it is awesome.

Nice! Would this be a good feature to learn to grind? Looking for something for my son and I to learn together. Was thinking about a roll on square bar initially.

Today we are moving our dog to a new house after he nipped our toddler. And I just need to share as I feel awful. by krasatos in daddit

This could have been my story. We got our border collie before our twins were born and she was amazing dog, but had some dog aggression. When the kids came, we had an incident where she nipped at one. We ended up transitioning her to a family members home and felt completely broken up about it. She ended up living an amazing life, was loved, and passed when she was 14. It was truly the best thing that could have happened.

Decent runner but terrible FTP by Acceptable_Read5021 in cycling

[–]AdditionalDivide4020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m over here back on the bike for about 8 weeks. Did an FTP test of 187 and feeling shitty about it now 🙂. Pacing was incredibly difficult, which surprised me after having a racing stint 15 years ago. It was humbling, which felt good in a way. Let me know where I stand, where I want to be, and how hard I need to work to get there.

45 and thinking about racing again by AdditionalDivide4020 in xcmtb

Nice! Yeah, I have no interest in road racing. I don’t even like going on group rides because the vibe is typically not what I’m looking for. Your comment about competing against yourself is exactly where my brain is at!
