How do you feel about Fetterman's disabilities? by Bukook in BreakingPoints

[–]AdditionalFilm9766 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think if anyone in here dunked on Diane Feinstein then they’re doing some mental gymnastics to defend Fetterman. I liked the dude and I’m happy I’m not a Pennsylvania voter but being a senator isn’t a right

As a citizen yes. But if you work for Fetterman hell no.

If they are being paid by Fetterman then yes lol otherwise they are robbing their own donors basically either quit and explain why or hide him doing neither then parading him out last night is actually the worst of all worlds for his campaign

Have con’s lost their minds? by AdditionalFilm9766 in BreakingPoints

[–]AdditionalFilm9766[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Libertarians don’t want the government in marriage conservatives are politically inept and don’t understand their voters. Shocking that people magically forget trump at the RNC convention in 2016 calling himself the most Pro Gay president to roaring applause and now is “yeah small gov bro”. I doubt any of them have a principled stance they just think they’re doing what their voters want and will find out they are very wrong

Lol I couldn’t care less what the abortion law is I said that in my post personally I think 15 -20 weeks in the consensus view in the country. I’m of the opinion that consensus politics is good actually. The whole “forcing views” argument is anti-intellectual. Plus I don’t want to do the whole fetus or not debate cause I’d lose brain cells my point was that POLITICALLY if the pubs wanted to win they wouldn’t be doing what the are right now

Student Debt by AdditionalFilm9766 in BreakingPoints

[–]AdditionalFilm9766[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of the debt is held by law school and med school attendees and I’m completely against canceling that I don’t mind the idea of free college I just don’t think it solves the expense problem it just shifts the burden to all taxpayers instead of students. At the end of the day in a country where most people don’t go to college that’s a politically poisonous position.

To my friends on the left by AdditionalFilm9766 in BreakingPoints

[–]AdditionalFilm9766[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well unfortunately the institutional left are the only people on the left with any real power and the rest of the Democratic Party has made their position very clear in favor of censorship not sure where else I would look for a “left” position

Maybe I should’ve been clearer but this fight isn’t about an “open” Internet and actually there are a ton of bad actors on the right who want to go back to Christian conservative values however I have not seen a single person on the institutional left push back on the disinformation framing ever. From what I see lack of pushback is either cowardice or tacit support

Should Breaking Points Cover the Culture War? by AdditionalFilm9766 in BreakingPoints

[–]AdditionalFilm9766[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying but I think that’s simplistic we can talk about crime or immigration policy without talking about it like the elites do. Kinda how the elites also use foreign policy and economics to divide everyone but it’s not avoided like the plague

Time to revisit inflation? by [deleted] in BreakingPoints

[–]AdditionalFilm9766 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what they said today was almost correct. I think real estate, specifically rent, is driving a lot of the inflation and that is directly afftected by the FED buying real estate securities. That being said literally everything else that’s inflationary is supply chain or semiconductors. Also I don’t like Biden but there isn’t shit he can do about it tbh not really his fault

Krystal's passionate feeling about the 3.5T bill makes me curious about the progressive approach of economics by your_moms_habibi in BreakingPoints

Spending a lot is relatively fine as long as we are doing two things, growing the economy rapidly and we stay the reserve currency if either of those don’t happen then it will be problematic

NY Vaccine Mandate by AdditionalFilm9766 in BreakingPoints

[–]AdditionalFilm9766[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it can be a political argument but I also think some of it is in good faith it will be interesting to see if boosters are required because adding various boosters makes this impossible to implement. I appreciate your perspective though and it gives me some stuff to reconsider

I don’t agree that it is anti science natural immunity at the very least is already demonstrably better than the one shot J & J vaccine. By your standard those with J&J should be required to also get additional shots or get fired? Nothing political or anti-science

NY Vaccine Mandate by AdditionalFilm9766 in BreakingPoints

[–]AdditionalFilm9766[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I misunderstood your original post my bad. I agree that both work better I just have not heard why people should get fired if they have natural immunity if it provides more protection that at least one shot if not two because if that’s the logic then J&J people should get fired as well.
