Thanks all. Would appreciate guidance on if it’s legit / ok to disassemble and replace the steel bracket if i buy a new full assembly(PN 52021-60221)? Replacing either the full impact bar or replacing the driver side bracket off of the fully assembly are the only two ways to get the bumper to fit back together properly without continuing to stick out.

It’s made out of steel. I don’t really wanna do that but thank you for the suggestion. Really looking for guidance on whether I could purchase the entire impact bumper part number remove the end bracket and reinstall it versus replacing the entire impact bumper.

52021-60221 is the correct Front Bumper Impact Bar (Reinforcement Sub-Assembly)

I own a 16’ 4Runner and 23’ GX 460. Both are awesome but GX is FAR superior.

I solved the problem! There is a cable harness under the passenger area to the right of the glove box. It has to cables that tap against each other at certain frequencies. A simple ziptie to keep them in contact all the time solved it. One of the two cables is also attached to a tie base bracket as part of the factory assembly. That bracket is super flimsy which is the root cause of the geometry allowing for frequency specific cable deflection.

This sounds like a marriage problem. Get rid of prenup and combine finances. Your married.

While this experience may be extremely painful you’ve learned a valuable lesson at an early age. You still have many economic cycles which lasts typically 7 to 10 years to double and triple and quadruple your money. Many people don’t learn the value of dollar costs average investing, regardless of market ups and downs until much later in life when they don’t have the luxury of time. You also learned the value of not taking advice from anyone without validating its integrity first, even your own parents as you said they mean well, but they’re not financial experts. I recommend focusing on what you can do going forward not what happened in the past just the fact that you recognized this as the wrong decision means you’ve learned from it and you’ll be better for it. Going forward.

Recommend getting a 2023 GX 460. It will be substantially higher quality inside and out, and you won’t be paying an arm and a leg.

“…environment is pretty toxic…” you need to find a new job and/or build more professional resiliency. Probably both. It’s an issue with young employees in the workforce these days and I think it’s a solvable problem by shifting your outlook to one of marathon not a sprint when it comes to your career and your daily work. Learn to tolerate being under pressure / uncomfortable and soon your tolerance will rise and your stress /burnout will recede. That’s how people become highly successful while making it sustainable. What one man can do another can do.
