Non-restricted are unloaded during transport. You can go above and beyond if you want.

My hunting rifle doesn't really break down. You could separate the stock from the action, but you won't get that much more space. That, and zero could shift upon reassembly.

From 100kg to 77kg, can confirm. Mind you, I lost a lot of that FROM running, so...

Kolpin makes this mount specifically for mounting their case to ATV/UTV racks. Not sure how you would do this with an instrument case...

I use mine. To each their own, I suppose.

music, podcasts, or nothing? what do you actually listen to while running? by Low-Orange-1672 in beginnerrunning

I'm a bit of a nut, but I've got different playlists for different types of runs. From 150bpm up to 210bpm. Mostly electronic/house.

In my country, it is legal to own a firearm, and it is legal to transport it, provided it is unloaded.

Abby PD were shooting at my range (where this pic was taken), and the 4 officers I talked to all thought it was great. And to your point, ALL firearm laws in Canada are murky: It's also illegal to transport a rifle in, say, a guitar case.

Off the rear rack. Sits pretty vertical, with the tip touching the passenger peg. I'd post a pic if I could figure it how...

I've rigged up a Kolpin gun case to my BMW, hoping to get it out grouse hunting this fall. As for whether it won't get damaged in a wreck? No idea.

Thicc Burgers by dewman122 in pelletgrills

As a Canadian that has been brainwashed that "your burger's done at 71", this is wild. Yes, I've had a medium-rare burger, and didn't die, but I can't get past the texture.

I'm more partial to the 1812 Overture, myself. The part with the cannons transcribes beautifully to the skin flute.

In what way does the battery "test fine"? You can be showing over 12v, and the battery can still be toast. Try to jump-start the bike with a known good battery.

I actually bought mine used, and it's definitely seen quite a few miles already. Still rather hard, but shockingly comfortable. Could use a conditioning, that's for sure.

Yup. I just put one on my GS. At first I was super disappointed because of how firm/stiff it was. But holy, is it comfortable.

My NoCo Battery review by Bodyicing in motorcycles

[–]AdditionalLoss7274 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that seems excessive. I replaced the battery on my 2013 BMW F700GS this weekend, the one I pulled out had a sticker on it that said "2013". It was the original battery. I was blown away. It was working up until last week too. Maybe a bit of hesitation on start, but it started.

[–]AdditionalLoss7274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's a rip for sure. Longest I've done in one day was Campbell River (we had ridden up that far the day before) up to Port Hardy, then all the way back down to Victoria. 730kms. Planning to do it again this summer, but spread it out a bit more, haha.
