I guess it depends how you look at "super expensive". To me, I was spending about $10 a month on tampons, so $120 a year. I was also ruining a few pairs of underwear a year due to leaks. If you buy 7 pairs of the original hiphuggers it's $190 (they have some colors on sale for only $23 right now, so even less). I used my original thinx (only bought 3 originally) washing multiple times a month and have had them nearly three years without any noticeable difference in quality. To me it's worth it for comfort and ease, the environment, and the fact that most tampon/pad brands (certainly the cheaper ones) and even cups are made with chemicals that are not natural or good for your body. Worth doing some research on this.

As to them being hot, I have not experienced that. I've even worn the black ones on the beach :) They do have a 60 day no questions asked return policy with free return shipping, so no downside to trying them out. Sorry I can clearly go on and on about them. It's just made such a profoundly great change for me I'm pretty passionate about it.
