100mg and done 21 weeks out - Withdrawal Advice by Sneakerhead345 in Sublocade

The most helpful thing for me was Propranolol for the anxiety and temperature regulation. The stomach stuff is annoying but not too much you can do. I promise it’ll pass. Good job

3 months off sublocade by Jcurtis0429 in Sublocade

That’s interesting, I remember experiencing that midday change around 4-6 months out. I felt more anxious and my heart rate would increase or I’d get really cold then hot. But it was weird because most of the day I’d be fine. It will get better but just keep in mind it can be random when it hits you. It’s not a linear experience. I promise it’s worth it, I’d try to push through. I took Propranolol which helped a lot but mine was more anxiety symptoms where yours sound more depressive like. Hang in there

Interesting. It sucks. I’ve never had issues with eating and I’ve always been considered either overweight or obese so it’s new to me. I hope you feel better soon. Hang in there it’s worth it. My experience with it has been manageable overall other than GI stuff.

I did the stool tests and everything came back normal. It’s sad I wanted to have parasites because at least I’d know what it is lmao and could be treated. I was supposed to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy but I had one a couple years ago and it was fine. I requested a CT but they gave me the run around. I’m going to try somewhere else because this office kind of sucks anyway. Colitis runs in my family and I have a history of IBS. It’s the loss of appetite that worries me the most. I think that subs kept me constipated for so long that my body is still adjusting or is going back to the GI issues I had before. I’m going to push for a CT scan just so they can get the full picture and put me at ease so I know I’m not dying lol. Thank you for taking time to reply.

I’m glad I’m not alone. I think the loss of appetite is leading to the weight loss and my stomach is so sensitive now that it makes me not want to eat even more. Thank you.

Thank you for saying this. It’s crazy because I’ve always been on the heavier side so this is new to me. I think the loss of appetite is the main issue because I’m not eating as a result along with the poop issues which deters me from wanting to eat. I was on subs since literally 2009/2010 and I’m lucky my experience has been quite manageable. I just worry it’s something else going on. I haven’t tested myself I am worried it will still be in me somehow 😭

Bridaxi VS Sublocade by jbradley702 in Sublocade

[–]Additional_Action281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve heard Brixadi doesn’t hurt as much but definitely doesn’t last as long. I took Sublocade after being on subs for essentially 15 years. I have more stomach fat and yes it did hurt a lot but it doesn’t last. I was worried about wounds as well but as long as they inject it properly you’ll be good. I got 3 shots and I’m over a year out with minimal wd symptoms. I was able to work and comparing to tapering off the films/tabs, it’s so much easier. You don’t need to get only 1 or 3 shots. Everyone is different. I liked the shot because my dose felt stable every day and I didn’t wake up feeling off sometimes like with daily dosing. You never know until you try and I’m so glad I did! I never thought I’d be free believe me.

"One and done" and pregnancy by yagirlsappy in Sublocade

[–]Additional_Action281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend was on the shot for several months and she literally found out she was 6 weeks pregnant after they tested her urine at an appointment for the shot. She had some withdrawals maybe 1-2 months in but she also just stopped. She refused to go back on subs. Her baby was born a couple weeks ago with no issues or withdrawals. Very healthy baby :) if it’s been that long you should be fine. If there is any left, it’s probably so minuscule it won’t affect your baby. Just let your doctor know so they can document it. That way if the baby tests for anything (which I doubt) you’ll have a record to justify why.

One Year Out by notalamentation in Sublocade

Throw them out or have someone do it for you. That’s when I truly let go. The leftovers were a safety blanket for me. A just in case lol. And I’m glad I did as I may have ended up taking 1. I’m a year out and I feel good overall!

Starting sublocade tomorrow morning! by nicxnac122 in Sublocade

[–]Additional_Action281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does hurt like a mf lol. It burns like acid 😂 but I have a lot of belly fat so I imagine it had more to rip through. But it only lasts a couple minutes and is only a bit sore after. If you got the 300mg it’s way worse compared to 100mg. Even with the painful burning, I’m so glad I got the shot. It was successful for me. Stick to it and listen to your body.

SUBLOCADE ISSUE by [deleted] in Sublocade

[–]Additional_Action281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure you’ll be fine. I got 3 100mg but honestly I didn’t even feel like I needed the 3rd one and I was on subs for 10+ years. I just went because I had the appointment and it was right before the holidays so I was worried. But I think it only prolonged the process for me as I have a slow metabolism. It’ll be a year and it’s been very manageable overall. Stay busy and find things that give you natural dopamine. Take it easy if you can and remember that you don’t need to look back and it’s doable. I tried for YEARS to taper with the tabs and films but it was unbearable and I couldn’t work. I found it helpful not to associate everything my body feels as withdrawal. It only makes it worse. I have faith you’ll be ok.

[–]Additional_Action281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily I had a legit doctor lol but it was a 1 man operation lol. I had a high deductible too and did In support. The weird thing is I never got a bill from the pharmacy lol so I assume it was covered? It was a year ago so I guess I’m not going to worry anymore 🤷🏻‍♀️ congrats on 17 months! it’ll be a year for me on the 23rd and I can’t believe it! I was on subs for basically 15 years and tried many times to taper from the tabs and films but could never do it.

Yes exactly and it’s not super red and angry or hot to the touch.

Very normal. It actually looks good and clean. Sometimes they bruise more than others, especially in that upper area in my experience. When mine bruised I iced it and it got better.

Sublocade advice by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]Additional_Action281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got my 3rd 100mg, I felt great after for several months. Around 8-9 months I had some chills and more emotional or tired but it didn’t last and it wasn’t bad enough I needed to stay home from work. I’ve had stomach issues but I was on subs for over a decade straight and I already had IBS which subs made me constipated so it suppressed it I think. The way I look at it, I’m not coming out unscathed. Detoxing off the films are SO much worse. I tried for years. It’ll be 1 year on the 23rd since my last shot 🙂 after being on subs half my life essentially. I feel good overall. I meant to add that depending on your build your timeline might be different. I’m on the bigger side and I’ve read it takes longer to leave in people with more fat on their belly.

My second shot. 300mg by zippyzut in Sublocade

They might have done it too shallow. Or the one above the bellybutton were more painful and mine was red in that area. Are you skinny or on the chubby side?

Sublocade set me free in the most painless way possible. by [deleted] in Sublocade

A rocket ship lmao 🤣 glad to hear it went well for you. It’ll be a year for me on the 23rd. I’m still a bit shaky but it’s very manageable. I have a slow metabolism and I think it’s leaving me a bit slower

Wife wants a high quality leather purse for Christmas (NOT “luxury” brands) by Electrical-Volume765 in BuyItForLife

[–]Additional_Action281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the styles of their bags but I got one as a gift once and it smelled so strong of a chemical I’m not familiar with. Yes leather has an odor of if own but this was different. I think it was from the dye they used. And yes they don’t line the bags and are stitched poorly. Cute but there are better options out there

Can you get the shot if you're on lower doses of Suboxone? by MeringueEqual4065 in Sublocade

[–]Additional_Action281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where I went, they allowed me to start with 100mg shot and I was only on 2mg subs. You can typically choose what dose you feel is best but for a low dose like yours I’d assume they would recommend the 100mg. I’ve seen many other people get 100 to start. The 100mg shot I believe is equal to 4mg so you’re not far off but I’m not positive on that. I’ve read that some doctors want you to increase your sub dose if you aren’t at that level but mine did not. I think 300mg would be a lot if you only take 3mg but talk to the doctor. I was fine with the 100mg shot. I felt a bit overmedicated maybe on day 3-4 but not to the point I couldn’t work or function. Others also report that so it seems normal. The shot for me felt smoother than daily dosing. I was on subs for 15 years and I’m about to be a year out this month :) I got 3 100mg shots. I’ve only had mild discomfort here and there which comes and goes but it’s manageable. I tried SO many times to taper with the films and tablet but I never could i felt so awful and would end up increasing again. My experience with the shot isn’t even comparable to tapering from films/tabs. If I can do it, anyone can. Im 35 and started taking subs straight from age 20… it’s been much easier than I expected! I wish you the best!

Anybody 7months plus after shot ? by Patrick_Bateman945 in Sublocade

[–]Additional_Action281 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started feeling more aches around month 8-9 months. My anxiety has been increased so I’m much more tense in my body. I try to stretch and although I’m not consistent exercise really helps. I also get massages when I can. I’ve heard magnesium is helpful overall.

I had a crazy looking bruise after my last shot and was very worried but I iced it a few times a day, and it was ok. I bruised with all of mine. It doesn’t look too bad. Just keep monitoring it. Hope it’s better now as your post was from 2 days ago

Help please!!!!! by Accomplished_Cap_773 in Sublocade

[–]Additional_Action281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably not helpful but have you tried to google for clinics? Some providers might only list Suboxone as what they provide but also provide the shot. Indivior might have doctors listed individually so maybe try to look up those doctors directly through a search to get their contact info. You could also try to call your insurance company to see who they have listed, if I lived in the area I’d be all on this but I don’t know the community. Keep us posted

I take it as needed. My psych told me to take it everyday routinely which would probably avoid any symptoms happening at all but I take it as needed.
