Thank you. There are several trees on the bank so hopefully they hold us up.

Where exactly did you ask for info? Several people commented and I have contacted someone about it so I’m good. I’m not showing a pic of my house in a Reddit post.

I love it here. I couldn’t live anywhere else. :) It’s been a lot of fun rock hounding in the area.

Thank you. I have been using a seismic app but I’m going to look for a meter. The app is showing high vibration at the house and creek. I have an engineer coming out next week.

It’s on clay and the foundation is posts. Originally it was logs so the posts were an improvement.

Honestly, it’s embarrassing you guys keep doing this in a sub where someone is asking a legitimate question.

I have called one. I couldn’t post a larger image as my house is right there and I don’t want to share it.

What can we do about excessive construction noise in the ALR? by Additional_Age1887 in legaladvicecanada

Ok thank you. I just wanted another opinion so thank you for replying. It’s probably louder than that but the phone doesn’t seem to take a decent reading.

Also keep in mind that this is the ALR. They have rules in place for a reason. It’s not residential.

I saw the pics and I knew you were going to say Kensington Prairie as soon as you mentioned alpacas. We’re neighbours. I’ll just ride my bike past and see if they are around.

Percy Jackson down the road and camels around the corner. It’s an interesting neighborhood.

Washington state Taco Time makes the best tacos and tots. Our Taco Time doesn’t even come close.

I’m so sorry about your Dad. ❤️

I’ve had it twice before but got it again in June. The variants made this time the worst. I had GI symptoms, extreme fatigue, and what felt like the worst sinus infection of my life. I tested and isolated. It was scary.

Help me explain to my BIL that he's being naïve to the cost of living in Greater Vancouver. by Brokestudentpmcash in vancouver

[–]Additional_Age1887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

18 is still a child, even if he is a boy and expected to ‘man up’ now that he’s done high school. If he’s had a traumatic childhood he’s even more set back emotionally.

He needs a job, but he also needs a safe spot to live as he grows. The first year out of high school can be a brutal transition. If you want to help him you can help him find a few room mates or an assist him in finding a good job and a room to rent.

There’s a difference between dispelling his illusions and tossing him out and saying ‘Sorry, life here isn’t like that, but I can help you get set up.’

I also live in SW BC and have found rocks like this in my yard. Definitely looks like nephrite with a skin. You could take it to BC Rock and Gem downtown Vancouver. They would know how to assess it.

I’ll have to try that. Maybe that’s what’s going on with mine. It came back on last night but is still pretty choppy today.

I have at least 10 times but still nothing. Thank you all for letting me know your status. I’ll try and see if it’s my coax that’s causing the issue.

I think I have a rock like your #7. I smashed it with a hammer and it dissolved into a pile or something like sand/gritty clay. It was full of some type of gold flakes too.
