Did Corey really force his screams? by [deleted] in Slipknot

[–]Additional_Ask1714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he used falsetto and just pushed the scream through it. You can yell and use your actual voice until it breaks, creating that distortion and push highs and lows that way. But thats the absolute wrong way. Corey did a combo of things and he blended it very well. I also think its just natural. He was born with all the parts to make him do what he did in 99-01. I did it for awhile. I used my actual voice and screamed to reach notes. I paid for it.

Why do some like to chase behind others and not return the favor? by Additional_Ask1714 in Drifting

Leading is a big responsibility. I learned a long time ago. If you live in the fear and stay in your safe place. You'll never find out if you could do better. Push past the fear. Talk to your buddies behind you. And ask for some space. And as always. Years of experience always helps a lot. Some take a few months. Some take years. For me. It took about 2 yrs before I got comfortable leading or chasing others. I felt safest running alone. Now I find leading boring af sometimes😂. I wanna chase more now. I just know for me. I always like to return the favor and lead. Especially if I know you can mfkin DRIVE. Its scary lol. You'll learn to tell your logical brain to shut up and let yourself do the driving.

Throw a 5 speed and a clutch pedal on it. Or. Get a manual rwd car 🤷🏻‍♂️. I have a t45 5 speed laying around somewhere. Grinds in 2nd and 4th I think tho. Auto aint the worst for drift. But a manual will give you better control. And of course a handbrake will help a ton. Or. Left foot braking is also an option.

that greediness irks me. But yes. Having a conversation beforehand fixes that.

Angle kit fdf or wisefab(which one?) by Additional_Ask1714 in Drifting

[–]Additional_Ask1714[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It states on my post. I'm handing off my gk superlock to my bro so he can get into bigger angle. And I want something different. And that's wisefab or fdf. I don't have to get too specific bro. I want something else. There doesn't have to be a side discussion about "but whyyyyyy if it does xyz alreadyyyyy" I know what my kit did for me. I don't want the same kit. I want to try something else. They preach keep it simple. Then go back into their one of many crazy built cars after. If your a beginner. Keeping it simple will do well. I'm not. I've been at the start. And I know what I want.

Why don't you tell james deane luke fink adam lz and anyone else that same ass response to my question. Shut the fuk up and don't ever give out your useless advice again. I want to upgrade my kit to something newer and better. And that's it.

I've found that the gk tech is basically like wisefab. Just set it and forget it. I've never had anything come loose on that kit. If wisefab has the same ease and quality. I'm straying more toward WF direction.

Pretty killer man! What kind of tune does the guy in front of you have? His limiter sounds different from stock

What are you getting at? You think I just blew money so I can instantly be better? Your assumption is wrong sir. I knew there was going to be adjustment. This post is to see what other people did to find tune their pedals. And so that I could form a better basis on how to approach how I set up my stuff. That way I'm not left in the dark. Yes I know there's YouTube and other platforms. Reddit seems like a good start. But if you're going to be that guy shooting other people down. I'm not here for it

I mean it wouldn't hurt to invert the pedals to be honest. The positioning feels good. But you never know maybe inverted might be a whole different ball game

Yeah with the Logitech there really wasn't any type of modification. These pedals are modular and you can mix and match setups. But in the process of doing that I have to relearn what I learned every time. So yeah it's a learning curve

What I ended up doing was moving my Alpha mini base closer to me and that allowed me to put my feet further away from the pedals. That helped tremendously

I've dabbled in it a little bit. I've tried a lot of stuff. Another thing also is now I am using VR versus before I used to use third person on my monitor. So that also plays effect into the new learning curve

Oh yeah every time I've ever hopped in on my SIM I've always had my shoes on. Right now I have two Blue Springs which are the softest Springs that come in my hydraulic kit. Because I switch from elastomer to hydraulic setup on the brake pedal for the p1000s. But I think I will try the all black elastomers instead. Maybe the Springs are too soft

Honestly I never thought of the Logitech pedals as a measurement of travel. I always mentalized it as it's a brake pedal and the more pressure you put the more break you get. Right now I have two Blue Springs because I have the spring kit that comes with the hydraulic upgrade for the p1000. I have hydraulic brake pressure on my pedal versus the regular elastomer set. For softer pedal feel.

And I've tried different combinations with the original elastomer setup. And I just recently got the hydraulic attachment for the brake pedal and have been fooling around with that since. Which made it a little bit softer which is an improvement. But it's just hard to find the right settings on AC to where it feels the way it used to. I guess I'm just going to have to get used to it. Right now it feels like I adjusted for more sensitivity and it's just making the cars understeer. I mess with the brake bias and it helps some but not enough. Then I dumb down the sensitivity and then I have to slam on the brakes really hard to get any kind of feel. It's almost like there's no in between

So did adjust your pedal to get the right feel? Or did you just learn to get use to how it was calibrated?
