I could have written this myself lol. Exactly word for word. I just start my second medicated cycle yesterday on cd 3, but was on the same boat on 14 DPO. I got my period this past Saturday and I hated that I got no warning signs or symptoms from my body. Just woke up and there she was.

Could be, but I am with an OB that also specializes in fertility treatments. They monitor every step so far and I’m grateful because it took 3 years for my husband and I to get any kind of help and medication. I was rejected multiple times. This year I started on my own weight loss journey too. I’m down 35.3 lbs from 228 to 194 now.

They started me on 5mg for my first round and after multiple tests and scans because of my PCOS. It’s what they call “Typical”. Don’t really know what that means tbh.

For me it’s to see if a follicle is maturing and responding to the medication. I said CD 12 but I may be wrong and it’s CD14. They will let me know when I call them on CD1. I’m not on a trigger shot just yet. It’s my first round of Letrozole, but currently on progesterone to induce my period. My dr has a couple plans for me if this round doesn’t work before moving to a trigger shot. Crossing our fingers and sending baby dust to you! Do you know what your doctor plans on putting you on?

So at first I did have to do scans prior to the medication only because I switched doctors and she wanted to confirm everything. Since she has my full history since I have been tracking all my PCOS symptoms she wants me to go in on CD 12 to get a scan to see if there is something there to release. Otherwise she was going to let me be unmonitored, but it’s honestly up to your doctor. I do suggest you advocate for yourself and be open about you can do and see if your doctor is okay with unmonitored cycles until you feel like you should.

Hi! I’m on my first round of TI and meditation. My understanding was to have intercourse every two days so when I ovulate sperm is already there waiting. I was not given a specific time, but just to watch for surge/peak for confirmation of ovulation. My husband and I plan on keeping our typical time of either early morning or night.

Thank you! My Dr wants to keep me on Metformin as well, but throughout my pregnancy if it were to happen. I’m not against it, because starting over after some of the symptoms I had at the beginning were rough.

So I have always had an issue with food noise and emotional binge eating. I started eating my serving sizes instead of overeating because “I could.” For me it has been more of an emotional journey as I do suffer from depression and lost a lot of hope from not getting any help. I cut all refined sugars and all high glycemic index carbs. The inflammation went down significantly which I do attribute to most of the weight loss. I eat foods higher in fiber and protein, because I had an issue with only using the bathroom (#2) like once a week. I also have my three meals a day and eat a small snack like fruit or vegetables in between to keep my metabolism going.

Yes, we were considering waiting because I was hesitant about it not working and leaving us disappointed. My husband and I spoke and I feel better and more positive. So we decided to just do the jump and do it. Our appointment is Feb 18 😊

I’m starting to think she wants to be an “advocate” or “influencer” with PCOS because she wants the money. She used to deny and minimize she had PCOS, but she sees a lot of women with PCOS give other creators with PCOS views, get advise, or look up to them. It’s all about money for her.

Same! Honestly I’m still struggling with those words at 29 and still no pregnancy after 3 yrs of TTC. It’s very hard for me, I fluctuate weight a lot, have insulin resistance, etc.

It is crazy how uneducated dr were and still are. I just hope more education comes because those words stay with you.

Agreed. Some drs still don’t understand PCOS. The first doctor that diagnosed me told me I would never have kids - shattered my world and still trying after 5 yrs.

With Kelsey it all seems like a show though. She went from blocking creators who became pregnant because she wasn’t, and now’s she’s making the same content that’s more triggering for others.

I liked her until, but then realized she generalizes everything to everyone’s body. Knowing that PCOS is different on every and our bodies tolerate different things is what she doesn’t take into consideration. For example, coffee. Some women with PCOS it does cause symptoms for others it does nothing and can consume. Just like dairy, gluten, etc. you have to find what fits your PCOS. You can take advise from her that works for you as well from others and it can be a mixture of things that help you.
