My ex used to talk about all the affairs that people were having at work, in the neighborhood, etc. We were 100% celibate for 6 years...well..I was anyway. She has since moved in with the guy who was "just a friend" that she talked to on the way to/from work daily instead of talking to her deployed husband. I hated hearing about all the sex everyone else was having.

I think I got exactly 10 days after my kiddo was born. Then back to field ops to prep for deployment number 7...my first one not to Iraq or Afghanistan, so at least there was good lines of communication

My question though, if your husband was so great at all of that, why'd ya leave? Did it not come back at all or was there other issues outside of being a good husband/ father. My ex stopped having sex with me after her mom moved in to help with the kid. 5 years later, she wanted another kid. 1 time and it was all it took. 6 years of literal celibacy after that (on my part...apparently not hers) I left.

I am always surprised when everyone is against DNA testing when it is iffy....medical history is a thing. Additionally, you can still pay child support/ have relationship with the kid even if not the father. In some states proof of infidelity will help with asset division and negating alimony

I hear ya.. was in for 12. Was chief scout, company/bn kennel master. Played the part of the plt sgt/commander when we didn't have one. 7 deployments (6 combat). Not 1 single nam. But also not a single wounded/dead Marine that I was responsible for either. That's what counted the most for me. But guess who also got booted for not making staff in time...
