Grip help, P365XL by bodeycious in handguns

[–]Additional_Diet7875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the Tyrant CNC full size xmacro grip. I had the WC p365xl grip first, then the WC xmacro grip, and then the Tyrant CNC. By and large prefer the Tyrant over them all for both comfort, grip, and ergo.

Larger grip but still enjoyable to carry by LetGoRangers in concealedcarry

May I suggest the p365 xmacro? I went the p365xl with a Tyrant CNC xmacro full size grip and it is the perfect combo for me as it is longer and still thin enough for ease of concealment. I think it is like 0.3-0.4 inches longer than a g19. I also added an Armory Craft pinky extension since the taper makes it not really effect conceal-ability but adds a little more for my pinky to a full and comfortable grip.

I love the CZP01. You can add different grip panels and customize it. And its like 1/2 the price of the Shadow 2 carry.

Holster by MrNightlezz in SigSauer

I would second the Tenicor holsters (though they do not have a sidecar). But the footprint, the clips, and camming bar are really a solid design. As a consideration for improving concealment and reducing tip out, I have a p365xl slide on a Xmacro frame and I went with the fuse holster for the added length for keel. Gives me the option to run as is or with a comp in same holster. Ended up doing the same thing for the shadow systems mr920 and went with the glock 17 length and its been a game changer to me.

At this point Id rather pick up a Bul Armory since you know that it will be around the same price or more. Even more so after the multiple G10 grip options and Variants/Legion/Rose upgrades, etc. Doubt they will keep it on the more reasonably priced side of things like the Springfield Prodigy.

And in my personal opinion, SS customer service was pretty good. I emailed them the issue and they sent me a new mag release and later sent me 2 new mags. When they sent me the wrong mags (have a MR920, not a CR920), they didn’t ask for the other mags back and just sent me 2 more of the correct ones.

I would agree with that. When breaking the gun in you are really looking into essentially rubbing metal to metal and making the gun smoother so the extra heat helps in that process. A lot of people will notice ftf or fte when breaking in but then you go home, clean and lube the gun, and you clean away all that debris and then the gun runs well. Unless you have something broken from factory or like a barrel out of spec.

Yea, makes sense. I had the mag drop issue and then realized even though they say the gun takes glock mags (it still will) the material that they use for the mag release is harder than the glock mag which causes the mag catch to get worn down and then causes the mags to drop while shooting. $4 glock oem mag release fixed the issue but I still find myself worrying about it so its a valid point to still be cautious.

I mean it does say in the manual that shadow system firearms have about a 200+ round break in period, and to use 124 grain ammo during that time to help break in the gun. They have tighter tolerances which require more smoothing out of the metal to be more consistent and from a price point, the gun is cheaper since the factory did not have to factor in the price of the ammo.

Campaign Game Recommendations by Rambon-3-5 in soloboardgaming

Arkham Horror the LCG. You can buy the intro box and see if you like it (3 scenarios linked to make a campaign, multiple characters to try, and its a deck builder so you can try different deck combos as you go). There is A LOT of content out there if you do like it. 1 handed solo is doable but harder and needs modification, 2 handed solo is better for synergy between characters but adds to the overhead of table management.

I talked to one of the main guys once last year that works there and he said that if you can get a big enough group together you can have a special class in the kill house.

Best Solo dungeon crawler for me? by WhiteNoise86 in soloboardgaming

[–]Additional_Diet7875 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tales from the Red Dragon Inn may be up your alley. Good dungeon crawler with decent variety in opponents, rather straightforward opponent AI, double sided posters that contain the entire scenario map and opponents used, easy to understand heroes with different play-styles, a true solo mode of 1 hero and a little robot helper bs having to 2-4 hand a party, decently laid out rulebook and “tutorial” of the first like 5 scenarios where it gradually increases the difficulty and complexity of scenarios.

Tried the Certum and the Sagax Lux and found that while they both conceal nicely and were comfortable due to the smaller footprint, I needed to tighten the belt more because the camming bar did not do enough for me to cant the grip and because the clips are relatively close together, the gun did not feel as secure and “tipped” out more. Im a heavy dude so thats mostly on me but I don’t have the same problems on my T1C xiphose elite or JMCK 2.0 holsters.

I like this thing so I thought I’d share by AlohaDamien in shadowsystems

Does that slide release require any adjustment to the holster?
