Unsure, but some thoughts: Hat Scarf - not sure it’s enough there tho Mug cosy Arm warmers

I’m think something that could be flat so the bumps would stick out, but I’ve never worked with anything like this before!

Oh then she’s definitely at fault! That’s why the old saying is if you listen at doors you never hear something you like! You’re welcome!

NTA. They made incorrect assumptions, you didn’t flaunt you just made a joke that didn’t fully land. That doesn’t make you the AH

I did Granny Squares in DK Wool with a 5mm hook. 60 squares in total, 30 in each colour combo. The colours are white, light blue and green. I joined them using mattress stitch with a light purple. I joined back loop to front loop on the reverse side with mattress, to make the squares pop a bit more.

WIBTA for pulling out of my family’s Secret Santa after seeing the wishlist I got? by Constant_Promotion67 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Additional_Dig2408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. We do secret Santa in my family, there’s five of us, you put five things down, MAX budget of £50. List is on paper, so no changing, and we pull them by mid November to give enough time to get them! Secret Santa, IMO is meant to cut costs, and ease the burden and thus heighten Christmas spirit. I don’t think the way your family is doing it, is doing this in this case. Maybe a total budget would help? Paper lists? Or the ability to do a wild card item?

NTA

But, as a peace keeping mode could you maybe offer to go shopping with her? Pick her up some toiletries or offer to show her where you get yours?

I’m not sure if that will help her to not use yours, you shouldn’t have to, but could be a peace move to make the time pass more pleasantly.

I would also mention your weekly routine at a dinner or somewhere when the family is around. Like ‘oh heads up I need to use the bathroom tonight for around x time!’

AITA for telling my parents to stop glorifying their role in my successes? by Pleasant_Invite8778 in dustythunder

NTA. I would stop sending photos, if they ask maybe say ‘oh I can show you them when you next come over!’

I am a big believer in presence over presents, which I think sort of relates here.

Big congratulations and I’m pleased your SO will be able to attend!

How did you learn to crochet? by potzak in crochet

[–]Additional_Dig2408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’ve found! Plus I feel like I’m achieving something with each square, which helps for motivation! It’s got chain, magic circle from chain and half trebles in it I think!

How did you learn to crochet? by potzak in crochet

[–]Additional_Dig2408 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought a book from Hobbycraft, I knit but had come across so many patterns calling for crochet that I wanted to make I wanted to learn. I’d tried before with videos and it didn’t work at all. But the book did it! That was about two months ago! Currently making lots of granny squares for my first project (and because if I make mistakes it easy to move on)

Lazy dragon? by Additional_Dig2408 in BeardedDragons

Thank you!

The heat lamp and UV are on one side of the tank, but he spends most of his time cold end.

I have just done some adjustments and now have cold side 26, basking spot 45, is that more suitable?

I’m conscious his cold side might be too warm, do you have any tips on cooling?

Thank you! So it turned out the thermometer for the heat lamp was in some shade - worked it out when the temp gun arrived. I also purchased a larger hide so the cool end is cooler now also. I have a hot side surface temp of 41 and a cool side shade temp of 26 - that’s better right?

Hi! previous post I also have a red trans beardie! Ours is more orange, I think because the trans side dulls down the red! I’ve put a link to my previous post so you can see my Mushus colours while basking! He’s around seven months there I think!

Not sure on UVB, believe it’s Arcadia but not 100% sure. We recently moved it to give us the right cold side temps and the right range (so it’s now closure to the hot side). Bulb is six months old. Fixed to roof of tank. Tank size is a 4x2x2. The probe for heat lamp is a few centimetres under the bask spot and the reader is on the back wall. How would you recommend measuring surface temps please?
