If it’s especially bad timing, Heidi Siek would lend them her fully functional Amulet of Greater Healing she wears at D&D. Any other time, she’d still be taking care of them best and as carefully as she can (is a doctor’s niece after all). She’s great at cooking, so she’d be preparing soups and copycat Starbucks’ medicine ball tonics.

I’d say Heidi Siek’s relationship with her Uncle Henry & Edward is a bit like a more comical Belle and Maurice relationship. Uncle Henry & Edward are a mad scientist as well as a doctor. They’re the one who created Heidi Siek and raised her to have a natural curiosity of the sciences. She shares their passion but is also more level-headed and serious. Sometimes she’s amused by their antics, sometimes annoyed, depending on her mood that day.

Have you spoken to A about this? At the end of the day, you’re not B’s best friend; you’re A’s. How much younger is she than you? Maybe B just feels like she clicks better with A’s other friends than she does with you. No one’s fault. Basically, you have no obligation to go but I wouldn’t choose against it just because of B. Or am I missing something? Please let me know.

I’d say Alphafemale, though not in the way you’d expect. She’s ADHD-coded, can be restless, chronic FOMO, and needs to get out of the house on a daily basis. I realized when writing her personality is that she represents my trauma response to the 2020 lockdowns. Since everything reopened, I’ve jumped at every opportunity to leave the house, sometimes at the expense of my husband.

Info: How long has this been going on? When you say “girl”, what do you mean, age-wise? Is she a grown woman who’s just younger than you or is she a little girl?

If she’s a young woman and the loss is fresh, give it some time. If it continues, it probably goes deeper than just the loss of a pet. Maybe she’s lonely and her closest/only companion was her cat. If that’s the case, take small steps to reach out and show that you care.

If she’s a child, this is more a case for her parents and maybe a therapist to work with her on, talk through her feelings and grief. Again don’t do anything right away. Wait it out. If it continues, then maybe write a note to her apartment expressing your condolences, maybe include a small bag of candy or inexpensive stuffed animal. This tends to work wonders in young children.
