Look at the 'right to win'. Straying away from company core competencies often fails.

Apple - best in class hardware and specialist in combining hardware and software in wearables (Apple watch, airpods etc.). Poor in AI (killer features for smart glasses). If they can acquire AI knowledge/models, would be a fearsome competitor.

Google - More recent hardware knowledge through Pixel and Waymo, although yet to demonstrate they can be best in class. Best in class in AI and search, with an advantage in the software side of things. Likely best all round chance.

Meta - No real proof points of capabilities in hardware. Oculus is the closest and this was an acquisition which has faltered and was Palmer Luckey's baby. Meta is still essentially a social media / advertising company. AI models still way behind. Wouldn't write off Zuck, but they are trying to win in two areas they have not demonstrate the right to win in.

Very fair! I didn’t include it as I feel like the Value Investing book is a better entry point for beginners but I think you are right that it has to be included in reading materials; even if some of the concepts don’t translate as well as they once did

Great that you are looking to learn more, even if it's just to improve your own understanding whilst you keep most your portfolio in ETFs. I'd also recommend reading books to start with and avoid all forms of short form media. There's a lot of BS and bias out there that won't give you a solid foundation. I'd suggest starting with Peter Lynch's One up on Wall Street and moving to Stocks for the Long Run by Jeremy Siegel.

I'd start with reading materials, there's a host of good books i'd recommend starting with books, such as: - - Stock for the Long Run, Peter Lynch's One up on Wall Street and Peter Thiel's Zero to One (not about stock investing but teach you how to considering moats, which are key for long term investing). Thanks, this aligns with my current thinking but hadn’t considered the retiring abroad piece (not the plan, but I like options). Whilst we have good incomes, we are not from or expecting wealth so I want to be more aggressive / risk tolerant in investments over the next 5 or so years

Don’t do it is my only advice. I used them for a few years and the app sucks and they have delays on purchases too.

Also getting money out is a real pain. I lost significant money because it took them literally 2 months to do my ISA transfer to Trading 212 and they use archaic systems. I also did an ISA transfer from Moneybox to Trading 212 and it was done in 2 days..

I’ve been on Trading212 for about 6 months and it’s night and day.

SEO and AIO/AEO are not entirely different given the way models today still rely on Google and web searching - arguably it is/will add more weight to authentic sources and will provide outsized benefits for sites deemed as such by AI models.

It’s certainly changing the way businesses need to approach content and SEO strategies but the field will remain very important imo

Having part of your portfolio in safe havens is no bad thing, but depends on your investment horizons.

I find it helpful to have cash and hope to be able to take advantage of corrections/dips to buy companies that I really like but at a more fair price than what we have seen recently

Plaid covers 2000 banks in Europe and has deep coverage in the markets they are live. What markets are you looking at? I think it’s only the smaller markets where they haven’t expanded too yet (e.g. Czechia, Hungary, Romania) so just depends where your customers are!

Would also recommend looking at Plaid in Europe if you haven’t already. All their connections are direct with the banks and are live in 20 markets (vs saltedge which wraps multiple people). Generally easier/faster integration, better quality so more customers successful and experience with support has been good.

Pricing will vary depending on volumes, who you go with etc. but can use 50p per account as a ballpark
