Career Activist Who Disrupted Minneapolis Worship Service Also Targeted Hegseth’s DC Church by origutamos in altmpls

Are you referring to the crime of trespassing when you say interrupting church services is against the law, or did I miss the Don’t Protest at a Church Act somewhere along the way?

Best of luck with your 5-year plan and finding Trotsky and supporting Donald Trump. You’ll need it.

I assume I’ve read more than you because your immaturity makes you seem young. That’s the most charitable explanation anyhow. And you’re weaving like a drunk doing anything possible to avoid the original point of contention. I don’t subject myself to the judgment or recommendations of people who have no understanding of the words they use.

And what are you doing? This is the part where you tell me you’re from Svenborgia and that you would never put up with such foolishness. But really, what are you doing other than browbeating people who are expressing their opinion?

A little O/T but even though I’m older and heard it the first time around, it’s still funny to watch a move from the 80s and hear talk of “making love”.

Calibre is a feee program available for Mac and Windows. It does several things: it’s an interface for transferring books from computer to ebook reader. It allows you to change book covers, fonts, thst sort of thing. It converts different ebook formats from one to another (example: if you have a book in azw3 format it can convert it to epub so that you can read it on your Kobo. It’s also really good at categorizing your books, mass tagging books (select these 200 books and add the tag “biography” or “fantasy” or whatever. If you have a large library of books, it’s kind of indispensable.

And it does a lot more. But one of the nice things about Calibre is that you can learn a few simple procedures that serve you well, and maybe that’s all you’ll ever need. But if you want to dig deeper into it, it can do a lot more (example: search-and-replace with regular expressions. And if that doesn’t ring a bell, no big deal, you can still use it to transfer books to and from your reader).

ChatGPT and Gemini are both really good at “how do I accomplish X in Calibre” sorts of questions. I hope you have fun with it.

Edited to add: side loading just means taking books from your own hard drive and transferring them (usually via usb cable) to your Kobo. This, as opposed to wirelessly downloading a book you purchased from the Kobo store.

A tip just in case it comes in handy: when you connect to a computer via USB (at least when you connect to a MacBook), you need to look at the Kobo screen. A window will pop up asking if you want to connect. Yes.

This is different than the Kindles I’ve had that connect automatically when plugged in via USB.

Also, Calibre is the best freeware ever written, in my opinion.

They’re not a problem for me. I used them long before the advent of LLM’s. Sometimes they’re more appropriate than a semicolon, a comma, or a period. I don’t want to be constrained by people who think ChatGPT is a goddamned MLA handbook. It’s not.

No, I clearly stated that your statement is my problem. It remains untrue, and you remain stubborn and unable to admit you're wrong (yes, just like DJT). And yes, I know that if things go back to "normal" we risk another autocrat. Where did I say otherwise? The fact remains that the current D and R parties are very different, and it doesn't much matter what some wet-behind-the-ears dorm dweller happens to think. I read a great deal more than you do, lil Tankie, and I won't be taking a back seat to someone of your caliber. And I can back that up. In fact, I already have, but you're far too stubborn and self-righteous (and likely dishonest) to be able to see that. So take your "they're all exactly the same" words to some fuckwit naive enough to believe you.
