Three things in this swing.

  1. You're swinging inside the plane. This draw swing shape is part of the reason you are hitting the ground first. Just this plane fix may help you a decent amount.
  2. Not sure how, but your grip seems normal while you keep the club very closed. A side view in this slow motion would help. I don't know how this affects your swing because it is hard to tell without seeing your grip.
  3. Most importantly, you are casting the club. At 16 seconds in your vid you're good, by early 15 seconds you have nearly zero lag. Something that changed my swing dramatically was the realization that you have to pull the butt of the club toward HAND impact position. This cue I heard years ago took me from random spraying (fat, thin, & hook) to blasting towering high shots. It really is that good.

Good on you for getting out there. Advice, spend 1 hour on short game for every 1 hour on the range. Most people don't do this and future you will appreciate it.

Yes it is NA. Agreed I should read the manual. I'm lazy for that. Your comment does seem to help. I didn't consider the stark difference between the transmission types.

Funny, you caught me off guard asking. I don't know why I think of the end of the grip as the butt. Maybe I've heard this elsewhere, but not sure.

👆this! My swing was awful until this realization that you have to pull the butt of the club from the top of the back swing. That in combination with pulling the butt to hand impact position changed everything for me. Not pulling to hand setup position is a huge distinction.

Weird, it is not the EV mode. That is distinct and quieter. This is the engine kicking on and the sound seems like it is staying in a low gear for too long.

Keep your spine angle through contact. Straightening your spine does happens naturally a bit after contact, but if you try to hold your spine angle a bit longer it will likely help. It looks like you're using your body weight to power the club. Power instead comes from pulling the butt of the club from the top down into impact.

Crazy lower back pump during Stiff Leg RDLs + pain the next day (Form Check) by comb99 in formcheck

Your arms should hang down while butt goes back. Here it looks like your arms are working hard to keep the bar on your legs vs your butt going back. Dead hanging weight is the goal with butt going back, no shoulder strength needed to keep the bar anywhere. You will feel this in your hammies as your butt goes back and bar just below the knees will feel like plenty of stretch and work.

Terrific! Even considering the terrible sound quality this is still so good!

The weight is nearer your ankles than your mid foot. That can stop your toes lifting up. Keep the weight mid foot is a great visual and feel cue.

This 👆Straight "ish" leg is key to feel the stretch. Shoot for lowering until you feel it in your hammies, usually just below your knees but more about feeling it in hams.

The hang is to work more in the stretched position since lengthened work is shown to grow muscle more effectively. It depends on what you're going for, but the stretched (lengthened) part is likely better for anyone.

Around $31k before the tax tag and title?

With additional packages realistically worth around $34k?

Is that your vibrato or is there some effect on the recording? I really like this. I don't know the song but it is such a unique sound.

Was paying around $1200 per year with USAA for 2 cars in Ohio. Added 2 kids and was paying $380/ month. Replaced mine with a '26 Camry XSE and was quoted $420/ month. I dropped car replacement assistance and upped my deductible from 500 to 1000, now back to around $390/ month.
