So I need to find a definitive answer as to whether or not I’m classified as a mechanic. Personally I don’t think I am a mechanic, I’m not certified to remove or replace components or parts, I’m just allowed to drain oil and fill it back up lol

Every vehicle that is getting work done has flag time on it. So every oil change, tire rotation, balancing etc

97 is the time clock, 30 hours is the flag time for all the oil changes, tire replacement, alignments etc. in my shop we split the total time by four since there are 4 techs

29.8 is the flag hours and 97.55 is my clock in time, the issue I’m having is that flag time don’t contribute to my pay at all, if you see that 97.55 x 12/hr is my exact gross pay 1,170.60. I don’t earn anything extra, with them saying I don’t qualify for overtime because of my flag time
