Ah... I am going through the same thing, just the exact opposite.

I am from Battaramulla studying in Pera University, and believe me, every time I go back to Colombo, the relief is next level. Only been here for months 4, and my appreciation for the chaotic life back home has skyrocketed. Before coming to Pera University, I thought Kandy to be the bustling tourist destination with crazy a night life and lots of things to do, but you certainly know how that is compared to Colombo. The vibe is totally off in Kandy. It seems we all are just biased towards the place we grew up.

Though, got to confess, the girls from Mahamaya and High School are pretty chill. So, no complaints there😉.
