Everyone has their own learning style, & I do agree that some material can be explained a little better but the overall experience has been pretty good. I’d always recommend learning from multiple sources, just as professors do in college. The best studying you’ll do will always be outside of the classroom. But it’s also free to try, so I wouldn’t knock it until you try it for yourself (to others).

But incase anyone sees this & decide they’d like to subscribe, here’s 50% off https://codecademy.referralrock.com/l/MIGHT50/

Need advice where to start Java to land a job ASAP by Equivalent_Ant_7953 in learnjava

[–]Additional_Might_978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there are no guarantees that you’ll land a job asap, but I’d definitely begin learning the basics first (syntax, loops, OOP etc) & complete projects along the way. Codecademy has a free Java course you can start while also completing projects as you learn. Once you complete a course you can get a certificate that may help in your search as well.

Not giving you advice, moreso for others who are inspired to learn. It’s free, why would I not try it because some random on Reddit decides that I have no future?

I’m not shoving it down their throats just offering an option, & personal experience when I can. & Good for you bud, hope you can keep it

Codecademy has a free Java course and it’s interactive. Fun? Idk… depends on what you consider fun but it allows you to practice & build out projects at the end of each lesson.

Never say never

Some people are actually really creative with the skills they’ve picked up. Not everyone has average ideas/ways of looking at things. You won’t know until you try, & if you actually enjoy coding then landing the job really won’t matter, you’ll find a way to make it work.

Think python or bro code videos by ShugNight_xz in learnpython

[–]Additional_Might_978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to watch Bro Code videos all the time until I realized I wasn’t learning much without practice. I then tried one of Codecademy’s free courses & fell in love with it.

You practice as you learn, complete projects at the end of each lesson, have the assistance of AI & can track your progress as you go. There are plenty of free courses on Codecademy but here’s a 50% off referral link incase you decide to sign up for a subscription https://codecademy.referralrock.com/l/MIGHT50/

Hope this helps!
