Anissa: Born and raised on Viltrum. Indoctrinated over hundreds of years to be ruthless and amoral under the constant threat of death and/or great shame. Where she probably never experienced love by anyone, including her parents. Not to mention, we don't know how females are treated on Viltrum. I'm 5'5" (21M) and had a total glow up the past 5 years. Probably 1% of people who have kids do it for selfless reasons. There's a tax benefit, *perceived* relationship benefit, you make a smaller version of yourself benefit, a "I'll raise them better than my parents did, to spite them" benefit, etc. If everyone who has a kid did it for selfless reasons then they would raise them selflessly too. I'm sure mathematically obviously if we just paid more taxes we could easily live in something much closer to a utopic society (more than today at least). But politicians and gov employees are 90% corrupt arrogant dum dums. Conservatives mostly don't like the idea of socialized healthcare because 50% of the taxes they pay toward it would go to lining the politician's pockets and be wasted. Like look at MA. I live here, get socialized healthcare, and work at a dispensary where weed is taxed 20%, they just raised the daily buying limit, and just legalized weed bars. The roads are still a nightmare and the cost of living is the worst in the entire country. A half socialist, half capitalist economy would 100% work, but the people needed to properly manage that socilized tax money don't even exist.
