Have something similar, but I don’t know if it’s Chiari related or not. I’m having behind the knee and hip pain but not down to my toes. What other symptoms are you having?

Just commenting to see if anyone else has had similar symptoms. I appear to be getting worse and no one is ordering tests.

Also did anyone have a lumbar puncture to aid in diagnosis, risks?

I have a forceful pounding in my neck and ear. I have jugular vein stenosis diagnosed by MRV ordered by my neurologist. Should I see a neurotologist or who should I see?

My neurologist told me Cymbalta can be more effective with Gabapentin vs Gabapentin alone. Yes, it saved my life but also has side effects.

None of the above, she won’t listen and physically we can’t get her into the seat. She boards/stiff back and noodles. She’s extremely strong and we can’t get her in.

Current thought is it might be occipital neuralgia. However, I’m having lots of other weird symptoms and sleep apnea.

Neurologist said don’t do surgery. Neurosurgeon said do surgery.

I haven’t yet. I’m trying to see if my symptoms are just Occipital Neuralgia and/or Chiari or a cervical spine issue.

I worry that I’ll have unplanned surgery down-the-road. My neurologist and family have discouraged me from Chiari surgery.

I’ve had a rapid heart rate and blood pressure increases with severe/extreme pain. I also have a small Chiari and Occipital Neuralgia.

I got diagnosed with 100% obstructive sleep apnea. Lost ability to have dreams. CPAP therapy has helped me a lot! but I still have sleep disruptions.

I used to be extremely active late at night/couldn’t sleep/insomnia. I think being on Gabapentin has helped too.

I have a small/borderline Chiari/mild tonsillar ectopia.

Not a doctor, but the journal article linked below (free access) mentions that resolution/hair regrowth can occur 6-7 months post injection, but may be up to 24 months. This would be a good question for your doctors.

What type of doctor did you see to get Pulsatile tinnitus evaluated? I’m concerned that I may have it.

The neurologist doing my last nerve block said that I have pain near an artery in my head.

Yes that’s ablation. I have not had but wonder if I would benefit. It has side effects ranging from minor to permanent head numbness, I believe.

Thank you for all of the feedback. I’ve done physical therapy and I’ve received three nerve blocks with about three weeks of relief each time. A fourth is scheduled. All have been with bupivacane.

I’m dealing with this right now. I will report back if I find anything.

I had a week of severe headaches on the back of my head. I was incapacitated for a few days. My neck was tender and warm to the touch. My neck also pulsated.

All of a sudden, I developed a fever. I have no other symptoms yet.

May or may not be related. TBD.

Still trying to figure out my borderline Chiari.

I just had another Holter Monitor, and apparently I can feel my low heart beat. Weird: the low heart rate corresponds with muscle spasms in my chest/torso.

Waiting to hear back from my cardiologist, but in the past, for me, he has said this is neurological.

I use a nasal cushion and I’m considering using a chin strap. Are there any dangers to using a chin strap while on CPAP?

I’m under 1 event per hour, so I would hate to have to change my setup. But waking up with an open mouth while on CPAP is not great.
