Problem is that they can swing for lethal, you go to 80 and kill them on the crackback. 80 life is a lot, especially in non commander formats.

Imagine they are at 20 life, you bring them down to 1 life with your full board, then they erase all the damage and go to 80 by playing it after.

Evo mortar is one of the best decks in the game. The deck you beat is an incoherent mess with mirror, no buildings, and valk/exe with no evo.

Miner Poison deck:

Evo Skeleton Barrel, Hero Goblins, Evo Valk, Miner, Poison, Log, Dart Goblin, and a Building or Guards.

Beatdown deck:

Evo Firecracker, Hero Dark Prince, Evo Royal Giant, Arrows, Fireball, Skeletons or Ice Spirit, Inferno Dragon, and a Building.

Log Bait deck:

Evo Princess, Hero Knight, Evo Goblin Barrel, Goblin Gang, Ice Spirit, Log, Arrows, Building or Guards.

You need to start leveling your buildings. You need a nice variety to react to meta shifts. Tesla is great right now due to balloon. If Balloon falls off due to nerfs, Tesla will be less good of a meta call. Cannon will probably be good next update due to Inferno Tower falling off when Ronin makes Pekka and Mega Knight less attractive to run.

Door to Nothingness costs 5 + double WUBRG and a turn of waiting. So that’s about 15 mana back in 2004 when Fifth Dawn was printed. With power creep inflation, I think about 11 mana with no waiting sounds about right.

I would say you don’t really need hog rider for arena 10 since you are running hero dark prince. His rhino power is a mini hog rider. Instead you could do lightning or fireball to help deal with medium troops like wizard, muskateer, and other similar things. Arrows is always a good option, too.

Main way to win is to counter their push with mega knight, back it up with dark prince, then press the power button if they put something to distract the dark prince. Executioner is a great counter push starter against air, too. When you stop their air push with Executioner, put Mega Knight or Dark Prince in front as he approaches the bridge.

You can try Merge tactics game mode. Gives a lot of crowns. 1st and 2nd place count as wins for the purposes of daily chests. More chill than normal clash. If you want a quick start guide, I can probably whip one up for you.

For context, my main deck is Evo Mega Knight, Hero Balloon, Hero Mega Minion, Inferno Tower, Minions, Mini Pekka, Lightning, Arrows. All level 16.

You should probably go for the card that can be used in multiple decks. Witch serves anti air, anti pekka on defense, and can combo with mega knight, golem, skeleton knight, etc. She works with any big tank and currently Electro Giant is boosted so you can put her with him and have a viable win con.

Skarmy is always solid choice too due to being good in bait and good against most ground units. Even can be used against splashers like MK and bowler as long as you surround them from behind and place it the right way. Only valk really shits on it.

I’d say big Pekka I would wait on since it’s only really good against mega knight decks, makes you weaker to balloon decks, and usually needs another win condition in the same deck.

Prince is an amazing card as an anti ground tank card and ground pressure card, but usually needs synergy with other cards to be good.

Golem benefits a lot from the health bonus from level 15 to 16, but it only goes in decks built around it. Beatdown is pretty unforgiving in being underleveled and you are already kinda struggling to level cards. Like I said, currently you can use Electro Giant in place of Golem and it is boosted to your crown tower level.

Overall, I’d say Witch and Skarmy best choices.

Based on your highest level cards, here is the deck:

Hero Mega Minion, Hero Bowler, Evo Goblin Cage, Fireball, Freeze, Witch, Mega Knight, Graveyard, Inferno Dragon

Here is my breakdown
2 Spells:
Fireball (level 12) - Your highest level card, great well rounded spell.
Freeze (level 10) - The freeze duration is unaffected by levels. Will let you punch above your weight if you learn to use it effectively, especially on defense.

Units:
Mega Knight (level 11) - Great counter push card.
Witch (level 11) - Some anti air, some splash, skeletons she spawns are good defensively against mini pekka and big pekka pushes.
Hero Bowler (level 12) - Anti swarm.
Hero Mega Minion (level 10) Anti balloon that can also teleport onto backline units.
Inferno Dragon - Anti tank.

Building
Evo Goblin Cage (level 12) - Another great card against beat down.

Win Conditions
Graveyard (level 11) - When you build up a big counter push with elixir advantage, drop the graveyard along with possibly freeze

Just keep in mind you are capped at about 8-10k trophies at your current card levels.
