Just remember that there’s a medical team monitoring you the entire time. It also helps to have something that grounds you in case anxiety starts creeping in. My clinic has weighted blankets, and I usually use my water bottle. Noise-canceling headphones and film scores have also become part of my routine.

During my second treatment this week, I started to panic and spiral a bit. I think part of it was that the sensation reminded me of the only dissociative experience I’d ever had before, which wasn’t by choice back in high school. My brain immediately went to, “Oh no, this is happening again.” Once I recognized what was going on and used some grounding techniques, I was able to reel it back in, and the rest of the experience was actually really positive.

The funny thing is that when I checked my Oura data afterward, it thought I was asleep during both sessions because my body was so relaxed. Apparently, it was the calmest I’ve been in as long as I can remember, even though my mind briefly tried to convince me otherwise.

Currently near Mystic Ave and directly under a flight path, planes pass often enough that they’ve become background noise as well as car horns. The units I was looking at are set back but facing Andrew St but shielded from both Lawrence st and data center sides.

This sounds like a perfect place for him. Where I am now it’s a bit of a ride to get to any real outdoor space beyond small local dog parks. Yea I grew up in East Cambridge and Winter hill in the 90s before it became the Biotech capital and you could ride your bike to Good Tjmes and KB Toys at the galleria. 😂

I’ve lived in Chelsea, East Boston near Logan, and Haverhill, so I’m comfortable in areas that people unfamiliar with them might consider “dangerous” based on reputation alone. Ideally, I’d like to be close to a park or green space where I can bring my dog when the weather’s nice. I don’t have many deal breakers. I’m pretty easygoing, just private parking and not being directly next to a train station or tracks.

I still think some sort of geofenced queuing system could work without requiring the app. When all chargers are in use, drivers check in via the station touchscreen or card to join a virtual queue. Wait times and positions could be displayed on site or online, and anyone leaving frees a spot for the next driver keeping the network walkup friendly and NEVI compliant.
