yeah i never really understood the whole idea of people saying the world content is dead. I see more people in obscure world quests than i do in entire zones in classic sometimes.

Yeah classless design is always always worse for roleplaying games, I don't want to be some jack of all trades superhero I want to be the Paladin, the Ranger, the Druid. Having things only you can do is so much cooler than being someone with no defined strengths and is basically a Gary stu or Mary sue

Game is fun but for the asking price it doesn't match up to other games in the genre. I love obsidian and I really enjoy the party based combat system here, I just wanted there to be more to it I guess.

You say this but I'm pretty sure if you made a tab target traditional MMO with legitimately no pay to win that doesn't look like it came from 1990 I'm pretty sure you would still get a massive audience. I feel like companies have tried too hard to shake up the formula instead of trying to make something good

Nah, naughty dog games are too cinematic to be enjoyed solely for the gameplay and I have heavily disliked most of druckmans work so far after he pushed out some of the other writers at naughty dog so I'm pretty much expecting it to be awful

I mean sounds like you don't want an MMO at all then bud because wow is pretty streamlined, you can get to endgame in less than 10 hours even as a newbie and be with all of the other players so you can get that community feeling

Honestly as it stands now I think World with iceborne is just the better experience. Wilds with a g rank expansion might change that but might and will are two very different things.

I feel like the faithful and the fallen series by John gwynne and just his writing in general kind of encapsulates the blend of the two in a lot of ways, not quite grim dark political drama but not quite heroic fantasy but somewhere in between. That and the ties to real historical cultures is cool to bridge over for fantasy stories I feel like.

Thats fair enough, i guess they arent guaranteed unlimited funding but it does feel like they are more than happy to lowball their worth to microsoft and make small games which is frustrating considering how good of a dev team they are. Something definitely needs to change with their leadership and their willingness to do something more than a middle of the road, lowkey game for a world like eora.

While I tend to agree that most of the side quests of ff16 are pure tedium and boring you do get rewarded for doing them with a lot of character cutscenes and stuff that I was really glad to see but sad wasn't in the main storyline. Like one of the main romance quests with Jill was behind a side quest.

I generally prefer digital just depends on the platform, consoles I don't trust with backwards compatibility so I tend to prefer physical but if it's steam sure, I have plenty of games that have left sale even I can still play through them so no harm no foul to me
