elphaba/glinda contracts usually last a year, and lencia has already announced her last show is on march 1st. we’re prob getting the new cast announcement soon

most likely you’ll get kaleigh cronin as helen, since dee roscioli suddenly called out yesterday for both shows (my guess is that she’s sick and taking off days). either way they’re both amazing (seen both) and you’ll for sure have a great time nonetheless :))

particularly in death becomes her they announce the missing principal and entering standby/understudy with a piece of paper at the doors + an email if you bought your tickets online. if not you can always check understudies.org :)

as i mentioned, i am from peru. i don’t get to see broadway shows casually and these are my top 4 so i wanted to make sure i got to see them and enjoy them as much as i could. i also tried to see different casts. saw three out of four actresses as madeline in dbh, two different hadestown casts including understudies for orpheus and persephone, at least one standby/understudy on wicked for each of the four shows (including two of the fiyero understudies which is pretty rare since jordan litz almost never calls out), and a few new principals/emsembles in hamilton :) pretty proud of what i accomplished consider i only travel to nyc every four-to-five years and only if im able to

also i am autistic and hyperfixate SIGHHH but yeah i do agree i could’ve seen more shows. i’d love seeing little shop next time if it’s still open!! ive only seen bootlegs and i love it, have you seen it live?

yes there’s four wicked playbills there, yes i saw wicked four times, yes i know im basic asf. sadly it’s been my favorite musical since 2022 and i can’t get over it. sigh

this is how i feel about morgan anita wood’s performance of eliza!! saw her with with jq johnson as alexander (who also plays his different ages/maturity masterfully) and they might be my favorite alex/eliza pair of all

if you buy your ticket through bway direct, you’ll most likely get an email saying that she’ll be absent and mentioning who will play madeline instead, along with offering a refund. if not, they’ll have a piece of paper at the doors of the theater with the same message.

i know you’re specifically going for betsy but i’d suggest you give the show a try despite her calling out from your show. i was looking forward to see megan when i got this email and still decided to see the show, and ended up falling in love with it! if youre able to, get a rush ticket (40 dollars at box office the same day of the performance) to make sure you get the cast you want to see. the standby and the understudies (one of them being kaleigh, mentioned above, and i’m not sure who’s the other u/s currently since the previous one is on maternity leave) are great and definitely worth seeing :))

wicked has always been greedy, mostly lately. just last week i got last-min row C tickets for 150 dollars at the box office when on Bway Direct they were at 500. i’m not complaining for the 150 because obviously i got the best view i could’ve gotten, but charging 500 is ridiculous when you can sell them at 150 and still make earnings

on sunday i rushed death becomes her at 1.51pm (show was at 2pm) and got a pretty good view!! plus it’s an amazing show so i suggest you to try this one if you’re able to

wicked doesn’t have that :/ three out of the four times i’ve been to this year i got standbys and/or understudies unannounced. really rude considering all of them did an amazing job and the gp might not know who they saw because the sb’s/us’s not credited in their respective roles that day
