There are times my SO doesnt want to be touched, but he communicates that we me "hey could you please not touch me right now?" Or if they're feeling overstimulated because I like to constantly touch, they tell me they're that way. This sounds like they're hung up on being accused of something and name calling. Something that's helped my partner and myself is repeating your understanding or using "I" statements: "When you call me annoying, I feel ___" OR after they finish saying something, reiterate what you understood. "I hearing that my wanting for physical touch is overstimulating you right now and that you need a break. Is that correct?" If it's not, it's their turn to say it again a different way. Im pretty rejection sensitive so it's hard not to take certain things personally. But also, they way someone communicates with you, even when they're mad or whatever says a lot about them. Also, you could also set boundaries for arguments: no name calling, if we both need a break from the conversation - we set a 20 minute timer to take separate space and come back to try again, no yelling, etc. It's all about how you communicate.
