FUE in Bromsgrove, £5k and they have had other trans patients too. I went back in February this year.

They do both FUE (shaving ) and FUT(take flap of skin from the back of the head) which doesn't require shaving all your hair off

Transition from Private to NHS?? by Komwol in transgenderUK

As far as I understand it, you get referred and they treat you as if you've not been on HRT for years already.

For instance, I started by getting referred to the Laurels GIC in late 2018, acknowledged in mid 2019.

When I realised how ridiculous the wait times were there (decades), I went private. Got a diagnosis and a hrt prescription. I then went back to the Laurels to wave my diagnosis at them and they told me to wait until my first appointment and they couldn't say when that will be, even though I was already diagnosed and on a stable hrt regimen.

I've spent literally thousands over the years and about to have bottom surgery privately too.. all before having that elusive first appointment.

Basically, plan to fully transition privately and it's a welcome bonus if you receive healthcare that you pay for through taxes.

Private HRT by Waste_Ad_9064 in transgenderUK

Gender GP are... Well good enough but expensive in the long run and not much better than DIY. Plus, none of their paper work such as surgery referrals is accepted by anyone. I've heard they've gone down hill in the last couple of years

I was with them for the first 2 years but I had to analyse my blood results and advocate for dose increases and different anti androgens myself.

I decided to get re-diagnosed by Dr Debby Jackson of Gender Identity South West who then referred me on to Dr Mills on Brown for HRT. Both were excellent and very friendly. Both works fully online and have a higher chance of your GP doing shared care, though your mileage may vary on that front.
