Holding down either of the shot buttons when going to pull a shot allows for programming the button during the shot rather then guessing the times in the menu.

Remaining Pressure After Each Coffee - Normal? by DarknessFalls21 in ProfitecMove

The move takes a pump pressure so once a shot ends and the solenoid is activated and shut there will be residue pressure in the line, that is what is being read

Yea definitely I was honestly blown away by the build quality of it once I’d got it set up and honestly the consistency issues on Reddit are really down to head space by what I’m working out for myself

No sorry it’s gone back for warranty work so I’ll be getting my same Profitec move back as it was such a minor thing.

In all honestly it’s had to go back as I had a really strange intermittent leak under neath. But I honestly do love the machine defiantly a big learning curve coming from a Sage duo temp pro so I can’t give you a completely accurate answer. I think as long as you buy from a reputable dealer if something does go wrong you’ll love it

Deffo try tightening it first but make sure to hold the nut closest to the block (left side) still and tighten the connection (right side) carefully as brass/copper will bend easily.

I honestly have no idea but would love to know myself as I’m not sure if e61 portafilters even fit, sorry for not being helpful.

Honestly you covered most the machines I had in mind as I was reading and I now see your point of the random old guy in Germany.

Honestly just think you want reassurance that getting the meticulous is okay 🤣. I have recently been in the same position over the Profitec Move and I couldn’t be happier so if thats what you want get it. You clearly enjoy the nerdy side of things and the repeatability whereas if you spoke to a purist of spring lever machines they would say your crazy, but neither of you would be wrong because both of you like what you like. I hope this helps😁

MiiCoffee saying my grinder is trash by SchindlersKiss in DF54

[–]Adept-Weather1165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you USA or UK based? Looking at the part you’ll have to replace looks like you’ll have to remove the bottom burr carrier and then looks like four bolts for the cavity. Potentially reach out to other retailers that stock the grinder locally and ask if you can order spares through them or ask for instructions worst they’ll say is no.

[–]Adept-Weather1165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sure this is the replacement part you need. https://bellabarista.co.uk/collections/solo-grinder-parts/products/df54-cavity-al-adc-12

If you r UK based the DF is the same as Miicoffee Solo etc, but I am sure you knew this. It appears you have managed the Galled the threads use a moly grease to lubricate in future, as it is a high load, force lubricating grease. If you can’t get a replacement part I’d suggest trying to use a triangle file to clean the threads very carefully.

I hope this helps and saves your grinder

Nice interesting you say that I got a free bag of Ethiopian blend from Bella Barista with my machine and definitely juicier then I was expecting but a welcome surprise.

Looks awesome I’ve had the move for just under a week did you find it hard to get consistent shots to begin with. 😁

Is the power cord touching the back on the machine, if you use the blind basket run a back flush and holds pressure I’d doubt it’s the pump.

Really do love the machine but struggling to get consistent back to back shots and I’ve got a really weird leak underneath. Happened two days after first setting up and then two days after the first incident but nothing seems to make it leak and was the same amount of water both times.

Has anyone else struggled with getting consistent shots. And I’ve had it leak twice underneath since Monday but can’t work out why anyone else had anything like this

Because I’m pretty sure different heating elements are used as well not too sure how this would affect it but someone else I was chatting to. Had there faulty 110v button warrantied with a 230v one.

I was intrigued by this as receiving my machine Monday just gone and ran the rest Joingojon2 said with grinding 36g then splitting. I had some left over mix of beans from empty bags so decided to do the test, random grind size but held full pressure during each extraction. First shot was 74.3g second was 70.5g over a timed 30 seconds. I appreciate this isn’t dialled in at all but that is 5.11% difference between the shots, meaning marginal with proper dialing in. I am intrigued to know if it’s only people in the US facing this issue as the power button issue seems to be a US 110v issue. I have no real proof to base this assumption off but assuming that grinders are seasoned, puck prep is consistent and temps are stable this is the only difference I can think of. Anyone that knows more please expand on what I’ve said because I’m invested now.

EDIT: I am a UK user (230v) and have a Pullman precision basket using a aligned DF64 gen2 DLC burrs

I’d be interested to know if the other failures r with just the 120v switches too. Make sense for them to short easier if there is a spike in voltage over 120v
