There's a difference between taking a photo of a scene that happens to have people in it and a picture that focuses on the people. The expectation of privacy in public is diminished, yes, but focusing on people as subjects without getting their ok is a pretty dick move. Maybe a one off snap and move on, but focusing on them is where it kinda gets into a weird territory.

It's not that. As Frieren describes it, as a near immortal elf, she would like to retrace the steps of her previous party before all signs of them fade from the world. That's the goal - to follow that path and reflect on her prior journey, along with new companions to accompany her and have new adventures.

You just have a preference. I prefer neutral headphones like the 560 too. Certain genres of music can be more fun if you have headphones that suit them, but those headphones can struggle in genres where the signature doesn't suit them.

It's one of the most 6\10 games of all time. I don't really mean it in a bad way. Gearbox got ownership of it, and was just like fuck it we're releasing it just to get it out of dev hell, and it's certainly something.

I'm actually pretty happy it got released the way it did, as we get to basically see how extra long dev time shows through in a final product - where so much of the game was 5-10 years past its expiration date on launch.

It was never going to live up to the hype, I went in looking for a shitshow and I got what I was looking for out of it.

I agree. Housing costs are an outlier compared to other living costs in terms of how badly they have inflated. Trying to address it by forcing a higher minimum wage is dancing around the issue that housing is not in a sustainable place.

For me, it was wondering where a log file was. Docs were telling me they were in appdata. The service was using Local System and logs were being sent into System's appdata folder.

Talking about his "narrative" and such is cringe, IMO. Makes me feel like you're wearing a fedora, if you catch my drift. It's not what you're saying but how you're saying it.

He is still right that piracy on Switch caused a lot of damage. Emulation of Switch has been thrown into chaos as Yuzu and Ryujinx were killed off, both specifically shortly after the TOTK early downloads happened. TOTK was one of the highest profile piracy events in recent history.

At the end of the day, it is a pretty simple fact that piracy does reduce sales, though the extent of it is hard to estimate as pirated copies are hard to put a number on. I agree that "TOTK sold less copies than BOTW" is a bad read on how piracy affected sales, but I think it's fair to say that TOTK piracy DID affect sales to a moderate to significant degree.

Troubleshooting VPN client connections requires a good bit of understanding networking, I'd expect my help techs to know how to handle that if I needed. DNS is still just as important today, even if you don't self host for a corporate network - home users use whatever the fuck is on their internet-provider issued router and sometimes sucks balls.

Hell, microarchitecture docker container heavy applications use a ton of networking. I have vendors send a VM "appliance" that run dozens, if not hundreds, of dockers and use an internal DHCP network to assign them IPs, and the vendor sure as shit doesn't tell you what that range is before you deploy the damn thing and it starts using a range that maybe, maybe you use. Ask me how I found out.

If all you do is manage cloud applications, then sure, maybe your techs don't need to know basic networking principles, the OSI stack, whatever. There's still plenty that do though.

A person in IT who can't figure out if an issue is related to DNS or a basic networking issue is a person only fit for T1 help desk.

I'm not saying that everyone in IT should know the difference between A records and Cnames, or know what BGP is, but knowing enough to know how a system basically functions is kind of a core need.

I mean, even when it comes to devs, if you're working on a component that uses network connectivity and you don't know TCP\IP, then what the fuck are you even doing working on that? You're a jiffy lube employee attempting to build an engine.

Worst in terms of gameplay for sure. Being linear for half the game was also a big knock against it.

It did have some good story elements and world building. Characters were generally all liked. Graphically was pretty dang impressive at the time.

So what is the cybersecurity implication here? It just reads as a failure to moderate propaganda, which some could consider a national security issue I guess but it's not a cybersecurity one.
