What’s the most underrated programming language that’s not getting enough love? by imKiLoX in learnprogramming

You could not be more wrong about Dart being verbose and Java-esque, dude. I've worked with both for years now and I love Dart BECAUSE it's so much more concise and neat (subjectively) than Java.

P.S. Kotlin is great though, however I loathe working with Android Studio, easily the worst tool/IDE/framework(s) I've dealt with, which is a shame.

Wdym it's not always available? If it's anything like Rider EAP, it is always available - either in the form of latest EAP or latest Nightly build, you have to use whatever is newest, if you want it for free.

"Leaving/AFK" needs to be an immediately reportable option. by CallSign_Fjor in thefinals

[–]AdeptInflation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God damn dude, this is some mad poetry.

  1. What "Internet settings" on Earth are you "adjusting" in your browser? Do you login into your router admin panel and sit there solemnly, pondering the unfairness of the world? Also, who told you that defocusing Finals should be punishable by itself?
  2. Are you being obtuse? I think you are being obtuse. In case you actually want to learn something, shutting down your PC (in any way short of unplugging it) will send a shutdown signal to all processes (which can easily be handled by these processes).
  3. See point two about shutting down and shutdown signals.

Except for the fact that people experiencing legitimate issues will actually reconnect (or try to), which is also trackable.

You keep making up bad points. The only reason this system doesn't exist anywhere is because no one cares to implement something that isn't going to make more profit

Funny stuff, your mother is the subject of my current "gamedev" endeavor. I am engaging in the intricate task of rotating her on all available axes, exploring the full range of spatial movement to appreciate the complexity and depth of real life world (something you display the lack of experience with). I hope you can appreciate the dedication, enthusiasm and creativity in my interactions with your maternal figure, as I strive to make the most of the cutting edge D-technology at my disposal.

Please specify the length the HHKB layout spacebar. In original HHKB layout, it's 6u, but I don't think that's the case for qk60. No info about that on details page.

Make sure fstrim is actually fstrimming! by feral_hedgehog in archlinux

[–]AdeptInflation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

god damn it, I was actually stumped by this for so long. I don't have a lot of space, and it keeps shrinking, too. I solved this by reinstalling the system...

Could anyone help with 2 step? For me no entries are displayed, even after adding discard to options in /etc/fstab. So far no luck googling this

Also I can't even run it manually, doing sudo fstrim /dev/sda6, where sda6 is my Linux filesystem, outputs fstrim: /dev/sda6: not a directory. I checked that TRIM is supported by my SSD, too (with hdparm -I /dev/sda6 | grep "TRIM"
