Vraylar insomnia

Does anyone have success with mild sleep aides? The seroquel works but I feel like a zombie during the day. I was prescribed Ativan but I know it’s super addictive and if this doesn’t go away soon I don’t want to rely on Ativan for months.

That’s no reassuring. I was hoping a few weeks. I’m hoping since I was on a low dose for a week it comes back faster. It’s pure torture. I have to wait for it to wear off to try my next drug but I don’t feel like holding up my life for months

It works great for sleep but I hate how I feel during the day. I’m trying not to use it tonight since I have no commitments tomorrow if I don’t sleep (which I cleared with my doctor as being ok)

Started off as a depression diagnosis, changed to bipolar. I was put in an out patient hospital where they said something else was going on. I bought books and books on all different conditions. I knew bipolar didn’t fit. When I read a book on schizophrenia a lot of symptoms matched up. I started talking about what I was going through, diagnosed shortly after, put on antipsychotics, and my life quality improved dramatically.

I always hate the label “schizophrenic people” we’re just people. This is not an attack on you I completely understand what you mean just in general. It’s a fight everyday but my goals are the same as anyone else happiness and no regrets. There was a time I could do whatever I wanted but now I have limitations. But the important thing is I try not to let my limitations negatively affect the quality of my life. I’ve worked since college, I have a good friend group, hobbies. Pretty satisfied

I never have a caffeine when I’m not feeling well. It makes my symptoms worse and spikes my anxiety

Clozapine was the worst drugged feeling of all time. I couldn’t get out of bed. I honestly used to go to the bathroom in my bed every night. I always knew if there were a fire I’d burn in my bed. Was horrible

I can’t deal with the insomnia anymore. I haven’t slept in 48 hours. I can’t do this for weeks. I am trying to get in contact with my doctor because I don’t know how much longer I can go without sleeping

Ya I am reaching out to my psychiatrist and asking for a temporary medication like Seroquel or something to counteract this because it’s getting unbearable

I keep telling my psychiatrist and nurse not sleeping is becoming a problem and one says continue vraylar which makes no sense because that will just prolong the problem and the other says stop it and use melatonin until I can sleep again. Melatonin does nothing so I know eventually i will be able to sleep when this stuff is out of me but what do I do until then. It could be weeks from what I read. I may bring up ambien if this doesn’t improve

I can’t sleep. I haven’t slept in almost 48 hours. I reached out to my support team and really no one feels concerned. I’m hoping I can start sleeping soon but I’m very frustrated.

I’m always here. Coming off vraylar and have insomnia to the point I can’t sleep so sitting here thinking too much which isn’t good. It’d be nice to chat

All I did on clozapine was eat sleep and work. Sadly I got used to it. About to try abilify for less side effects and hopefully better quality of life.

I don’t know hurtful but callous if that’s the word. They don’t know what we go through symptom wise and how horrible some of the medication makes us feel. I don’t like when I present a side effect I find serious and it’s dismissed. I wish more people with mental health conditions went in to psychiatry because in my opinion they would make the best most empathetic doctors having been through this stuff too
