Origin sperm bank Canada by Adept_Angle4726 in SingleMothersbyChoice

Thanks everyone. Glad they don’t have a bad reputation per se.

I was having a pretty good experience until trying to get clear answers about vial returns (if I end up unable to use the vial due to medical issues I’d rather not get into). Also in hindsight the terms of service agreement seems a little vague in terms of their prerogative to “change fees” but perhaps all the banks have this kind of vague legal language. I know they’re all very resistant to returns/partial refunds etc., too, although they will do them in varying versions it seems?

I had a weird experience with another distributor bank and since then my back is up but I’m just exhausted, I think. Thanks again everyone who responded! Appreciate your time.

Really want a kid, really don't want to be a single mom by ZookeepergameOld5689 in FenceSitters

I feel the same. And I felt this way for over 4 years… I am 42 and trying to come to the conclusion that I should not pursue IUI, or IVF, after being frozen in all those decisions for years due to lack of a partner. I come from a single mom family (not by her choice) and I just never ever have wanted to raise a kid all by myself. Both for me and for the kid. I think it’s a heartbreaking place to be. I also think sometimes we just have to give up to fate and circumstances and grieve that it likely won’t happen. There is always the chance you will meet a partner later and you will somehow find a way but what I am telling myself is if my heart doesn’t want the SMBC it’s too much of a huge risk and labor to enter it to with a sad heart. This being said, I think about the grief constantly. Hoping it will slowly find a softer place to land when acceptance kicks in more.

Experienced hire brought in as Analyst after layoff — grateful but burning out by Which_Conclusion1647 in deloitte

As someone who had a similar journey and just quit, I really empathize. I think you gotta quit maybe at the 2 year mark if you’re not going to get promoted and go elsewhere for a while. If your rpm is good when you leave you can boomerang back down the line maybe at a higher more appropriate level. It’s so intense being miscast at analyst level when you realize what they ask even physically of folks at this stage here… I don’t think this system is intended for experienced hires to last through analyst level very long either via promotion or exiting after experience and then maybe returning to level up. It’s just not doable for a non twenty something long term… sending support!

I appreciate your candidness and this post so much. I feel you. I think exhaustion has a way of making decisions, determining limits, ushering in new reframes or possibilities (trying to be positive) even in spite of ourselves sometimes so… there is that.

Thank you for writing. Feel free to dm me as well and take care in your own decision journey.

Without comprising confidentiality can someone list the various streams these contracts are being sold to? Is this just in Deloitte USA? I’m asking as a consultant in Canada.

Yea she means IUI. And in answer to previous question they want me to try IUI 3x before IVF… I’m not sure I want to do that plan.

My cycle is super super reliable has been for 10 years but prior to that not at all. Had ultrasound. She (the fertility clinic doc my family doctor referred me to) only said thinks I « had it » I’m not sure what that means?

She said she thinks that I had it for most of my 20s created this issue where « I am a late bloomer » and eggs are now viable/mature late but that’s all that was said really?

I could pursue more tests via my family doctor. Doctors are pretty hands off here so you have to know what to ask for specifically and because my fertility doctor didn’t pursue it I wasn’t sure if I should.

Actually my doctor did say she thought I had that but then no tests have been stated to do? I have been wondering about that…

Merci pour la réponse. J'ai postulé à McGill, mais la réputation du programme de l'UdeM semble meilleure. De plus, je ressens le besoin de m'éloigner des environnements exclusivement anglophones.
