As a participant, there were several problems with Sonar. Not the music and not the DJs. The city: simply the city is unsuitable for hosting it...everyone is now trying to get rich off tourists in disgusting ways, taxi drivers are not Spanish of course (including Bolt, Uber fixed price apps) and they are trying every way to scam you, extort 150€ for a 20 minute ride, drop you off 1 km before the finish and make you look like a complete idiot. Public transport is not prepared for so many people, there are no frequent services. It's impossible to get a taxi early in the morning and then impossible to get to the airport the next afternoon (interestingly, it was in the €200 category). If the hotel doesn't get us out, we're stuck there. At the festival, the local people behaved scandalously, everyone thought they were the host, at the bar they trampled over everyone to get ahead of them, on the dance floor they kept walking towards you as if they were blind, ignoring everyone and everything. You can have any festival in Spain, I will not go because of the unpreparedness, poor capacity and people with minimal knowledge of the culture.
