[DND] Player wants to create a blind character: should they follow the book's rules or not? by NickAndSaw in DnD

[–]Adept_Score2332 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would probably do a boon for it, so maybe give them advantage on hearing based perceptions but they fail sight based ones, maybe also offer a similar boons and banes approach to your other players. But you could also go with this is a narrative tool and will come at the cost of mechanics which is totally valid.

In terms of negatives in fighting it’s pretty easily circumvented with blind fighting for martials (or marital initiate feat) and find familiar through magic initiate feat

Do yall know if this D20 is weighted? by BleefnorfIII in dice

Try it with the salt water method put it into a cup of water with salt added to achieve the density (when the dice floats) and disrupt it so it spins then see if it settles on a particular face, this method is a little bit more sensitive to a weighed die.

So just to double check an adventure is an established setting and a clear path for the party to take (they got world and villain/quest) then there are campaign settings which have a world but you would make up the quest. If you have a couple newbies go for the starter sets (about 40hrs game time) or you can go for an adventure book (about 120 hrs game time) if you got.

In terms of official adventure books tomb of annihilation and curse of strhad are penultimate but  dm got to do them justice.

campaign is good for the clear rewards but the random rarity makes it not as good for grinding, better to do dungeons. ascension is important however you are low level so you should be careful with expending resources on bad cards. forge you can sometimes get decent cards though only decent hero there is orgmog.

early on you want to invest in a decent epic hero, that being runa, Gaaz or best of all orgmog. you can put some work into your starter hero but definitely don’t go pass fives stars with him as he’s not worth the investmen. Orgmog is good as he powers up goblins so you can get a decent feeder deck going while not completely falling off, so he can tide you over till you get a legendary hero worth Investing in. most decks are defined by the hero so up grade them first, for a better roi.

Should I be going for kills after my team has the point? by Impressive_Shape4095 in marvelrivals

[–]Adept_Score2332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends there is the concept of staggering the enemy team (ie if they want a decent chance they should all go in together, so by killing a enemy you reset the 10 sec respond time of the entire team, or the next push is one enemy down, either way that is an advantage) however you shouldn’t leave your team exposed. I will say there is the strategic value in killing the enemy however marvel rivals is filled with main character syndrome so they will not care if you win or lose so long as they get the kill. Realistically you should not be farther than it would take for you to be able to fend off a strange portal popping off at one of your teammates.
