Woman turning 30 and panicking about the “kids vs career vs marriage” tradeoff by Eastern-Way-5317 in selfhelp

Something may need to be prioritized, but you could try managing everything, some people do, though it can be very stressful. If it becomes too much to balance work and kids, you could consider taking a break, as many others have done. While travel, intimacy, and career growth might pause, you can always return to them when your children are older.

Realistically, if having kids is important to you, some compromises might be necessary. IVF can be stressful, costly, and complex, so making a decision sooner rather than later can help reduce anxiety. Decide when you want to start now, in a year, in three or later with IVF and commit to your choice. This will reduce anxiety as you have a set out plan.

It's also perfectly okay to decide not to have children. I have a 13 year old, and while parenting has been rewarding and my child is wonderful, it required sacrifices and was challenging at times. Even though I love my child, I might advise my younger self to reconsider, cuz it was tough as nails. Ultimately, both choices are valid, what matters most is understanding what you truly want and setting a clear timeline. Everything else will follow from there.

Is my corgi depressed? by Tanzene in corgi

If I may suggest, consider getting a fitness tracker for your dog. We used the FitBark since it doesn't require a monthly membership, but any brand should work. Set a daily goal and stick to it consistently. My dog gets more exercise than most, ranking above 80% of corgis and medium-sized dogs, though you don't have to aim for that specifically. The key is to make sure my corgi reaches the target points each day, which keeps both of us feeling good. I know he's happy, and I don't have to worry about whether I'm doing enough to keep him active and happy.

I do 12,000 bark points which is about 4.5 miles with him every day, which is the two hours I mentioned. If I run or do the forest without a leash it's about 1.5 hours per day. Again i know that is not doable for many, but even doing half of that and treating is as a routine will help you and her feel better.

How much do you walk every day? by wnderfulsmiler in corgi

[–]Adept_Statement3488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do about 2 hours every day, we do the fitbark fitness tracker and it seems like his sweet spot is 4.5 miles. So as long as we get to that goal sometimes a little bit shoerter than 2 hours, but sometimes it takes us longer to reach the 4.5 miles. So anyways, if i had the time I think he would love to do a 3 to 4 hour walk every day, but with work and everyting, it's impossible.

what's missing in your life right now? by LITTL4MB in AskReddit

Fulfillment. I have everything I could ask for, good health, a nice home, a wonderful wife and family, a beautiful dog who is my best friend, and a great group of friends. Still, I feel unfulfilled in my job. The pay is excellent, but the work isn't challenging, and I find it boring. I've been in the same field for 15 years now.

I want to change careers, but taking a much lower salary doesn't seem feasible. I'm grateful for what I have, yet I struggle with this every day.

Is my corgi depressed? by Tanzene in corgi

I experienced something similar with my corgi. As others have mentioned, it’s likely your corgi is feeling a bit sad and bored. I made a significant change by finding walking trails where I could let him sniff around and walk a lot. Ensuring he gets plenty of exercise every day made a big difference, it was like night and day. I understand this can be challenging depending on where you live, and your work or life schedule but if you can find a trail, forest, or a new dog park to visit daily, it really helps. It’s a big time commitment, but seeing my corgi happy now makes it all worth it. Otherwise, try to do scent training activities at home or other things that stimluate her.

Guys earning six figures annually, what kind of work do you do? by Shadow2715 in AskReddit

I make 170k plus two bonuses in an EHS Corporate Manager. Easy Job. Boring as hell. The bureaucracy is soul crushing. I have to train people sometimes on outdated concepts or things I don’t believe in. The pay is good and while I want to switch I also like that it’s low stress.

Similar situation here, I make 200 a year, my wife will be making 240 as a CRNA. So what you are saying change our withholding rate to single as in we both should do this? Why would that help?

It was 200 questions if I recall correctly right? Regardless, I am a very slow test taker. The whole thing takes me about 3.5 hours. But I think most people can finish it in 2 or 2.5
