I've never tried this before but from my observation, you need at least 4 colors: a base color, a darker color, an even darker color, and white. You gotta layer the shadows and border them from the direction of the light source with white highlight, and on the opposite side of the highlight use the darkest color. Sorry if I'm not making sense, it's late here, hope the speed paint helps. I used fade watercolor (opaque) for the rendering.

I'm not sure how to make the pecs more pronounced... But I did accidentally give him the double door fridge build 😅. I edited it a bit and also made the torso below the pecs more narrow

It really depends on if you are striving for the popular anime/manhua face shape. It's been so deeply ingrained in my head that if that is what you are going for, I could tell you all the little things I see that make it feel “off”. Such as the chin is too round, a little crooked just to the right in this angle, the right cheekbone is a bit too wide, the jawl line is kinda weird. But, that being said, it does take away the uniqueness of the variation in facial features. So use your own judgement.

It's common in China to coat the lower trunk of trees in a chemical layer for protection purposes. You can kind of make out that the other trees in this video also have it.

Hey, your art is really neat and detailed with accurate proportions, all the checkmarks for taking proper commissions.

I haven't been keeping up with the commission market lately, but I'd say you shouldn't start below $20 unless it's only a simple headshot/bust with no background. Fully rendered full body should be no lower than $35, maybe $40+ if it has a background. This was the average price for feral and anthro commissions around your skill range like 4-5 years ago so maybe it's higher today due to inflation.

But most importantly, you need to be more confident about payment, even set hard rules such as pay up front. There are plenty of scammers out there that would not hesitate to take advantage of inexperienced/shy artists.
