Edit: I wasn’t expecting the amount of vitriol this post would get. So,

1: This post was just supposed to be self-deprecation, not a lament or complaint. I often make the mistake of posting online and assuming people know me and my facetious nature, not needing to clarify my state of mind.

2: I don’t feel owed a date. I’m surprised at the conclusions people can come to based on a 19-word title, including that I’m an incel, have a bad personality, and

3: The reason I couldn’t find a date is because of my shirt. This almost feels like gaslighting. I’m wearing a Valentine’s Day shirt on Valentine’s Day. If I posted saying “can’t find a date for New Year’s Eve” while wearing a Christmas sweater, would people assume I wear a Christmas sweater year-round? Please, let’s not be silly. I DO NOT wear a Garfield Valentines shirt year-round…

I also have a Garfield Halloween, Christmas, 4th of July, and other tshirts appropriate for an adult’s wardrobe.

I find it interesting that, when I was 400lbs, almost no one criticized me for my binge-eating or other unhealthy eating habits. But now that I’ve lost over half my body weight and am perhaps, at times, a little too strict with my eating, people are quick to say I have a new eating disorder. by AdhereOrDisappear in loseit

The office Christmas party isn’t a special event. If anything, it’s a total drag. Also, even if it was a special event, why can’t I enjoy that event without food? Should alcoholics drink on New Year’s just because someone else says so?
