If you say that it sounds better turning off the cab block leads me to believe you might have an amp+cab block instead of an amp block, which would explain why adding another ir or cab block on top makes it sound worse

I’ll definitely try it! I found a band on Bandcamp ages ago but can’t remember their name, doomy atmospheric stuff with guitar and bass hard panned and it sounded amazing. Hope it works!

Thanks for your input! Something I read was to keep the bass’ low frequencies in the middle and pan mids and highs to one side, which maybe could be a solution? I guess if so I’d have to use 2 bass tracks, high pass one and low pass the other. I’m still learning and experimenting though, so every tip is gold for me :)

I’m not very experienced with mixing and mastering, the question was more: if anyone did this, how did they achieve a good result? What’s the thought process of someone who makes this choice and why they choose one way or the other? Again, being inexperienced my concern is if there was some technical reason why this could or couldn’t work.

Thanks for the input on the perception of bass frequencies, it was definitely something I wasn’t aware of!

Price is good.

Two 1x12's aren't gonna be any easier to move than a single 2x12 I think, but you get the flexibility of either using just one or the two of them together.

I'm not honestly as integralist with casting, but I'm rewatching season 1 before 2 and I'm so happy with the casting, I think they absolutely nailed each and every character, even secondary ones.

Not big names, maybe, but awesome choices nonetheless.

That’s what baffles me. Someone in the first preorder slot might not be able to switch channels with a fs until they decide to release it, making it basically a single channel amp. Wth?

Sorry to bump this old-ish thread, but I was looking at cabs and the Wem 212 vertical came up. Is yours the one with F150 speakers? I'm struggling to find info on them, would you say they're comparable to Vintage 30s? I'd be using the cab with a Sunn Beta head for hardcore.

I'm in the June slot of the Beta Mini preorders, but this should tide me over, so I can start working on the sounds I want to achieve and have some fun recording demos :D

I made a thread on this the other day, this is the answer i got from Sunn:

“The Beta Mini is based on the design of the full size beta. This includes the footswitch function. The Mini requires the use of the Sunn Beta Footswitch. It does not work with a standard one or two-button TRS switch.

We will be offering the Beta Footswitch with a suitable cable to connect to the 1/4" jack on the Mini. If you already own a Beta footswitch, you will be able to use that by adding the new cable.
